American Array Solar

Poor experience so far. Twice in the last week I was told "we will complete the install tomorrow" but after the crew arrived they tell me they will only make minor progress. The rack system was partially installed on day 1 of "complete install" and now a week later the crew is here for just the sub-panel install. Not sure what changed from 4PM yesterday when they called me to tell me that they will complete the install "tomorrow". Looks like they don't have the inventory to complete the install or they are moving all projects a bit at a time because they don't have the crew to do the work. So far they've excelled at over promising and under delivering.

I'll update both the rating and the review here as things progress.

We have had 2 installs by american array and in both cases everything has gone smoothly and if any issue ever arose it was resolved quickly.we appreciate the entire staff and all that has been provided in panels and batteries.thank you so much.highly recommend them.

We’ve had active solar installation since early 2022 now. Great experience working with Veena and the team.

Coordination was seamless including they fully taking care of city permitting, approval, installation and post-installation scheduling and approval from city inspector. They are impressive and quick. They ensured installation is completed before end of year 2021 so we qualify and get the grandfathered rates at that time.

We are seeing the benefits and they have done a great quality installation. I would recommend them for sure.

I already had a set of panels installed at my place. Some solar companies didn't want to install in parallel to them. But, American Array had no problem with that.

The installation happened a few days earlier than their specified date and they did thorough checking and made sure everything was fine. They also followed up to make sure things are working as expected and that I was able to monitor it on my phone.

We had an issue with one of our solar panels not performing correctly, a microinverter needed to be replaced. Adam from American Solar was fantastic. I emailed on a saturday evening and got a response the next day, and had the problem solved the following week. Great customer service, highly recommend

This review is long pending. It's been nearly 2 years since the installation of the Solar Panels by American Array. From the day I started interacting with their Sales till the day of activation, the whole process was a breeze. They were straight forward and honest about every detail to me and helped with any questions that I had along the way. The work done to install the panels was near perfect without any hiccups or delays. The electrical work needed few changes but they were very prompt in making the required changes and everything was done in no time. There hasn't been any issues since then and everything works so seamlessly. It was an absolutely satisfying experience and will highly recommend American Array of your Solar needs.

I sent an email to Adam he got back to me in less than 5 minutes that he already had fixed my problem. What a great technician.

Asked for enough panels to cover daily usage and change an electric car. We didn't even get enough to cover daily usage.

Bought a house with solar panels already installed and had to pay $500 for the, "warranty transfer. " Turns out my panels weren't even working for the 2 years I had them. Took a couple months for them to get the warranty transferred over and have someone come out and get a simple part installed that took the contractor no more than 30 minutes. He installed it wrong but thats another story. They are really bad at providing you with any information about anything and usually say, "I'll have to ask my manager when she gets back to the office. " I've literally heard that same line several times. Still haven't gotten my actually warranty information packet sent to me and it's been like 4 months. I've probably called and emailed over 100 times to get the little progress made that I have. They were quick to process that $500 payment though.

The process of installing solar panels is more complicated than it sounds. You have to deal with the installer, city permits and PG&E. One can easily get bogged down in the bureaucratic maze that prolongs the completion. The biggest hurdle was PG&E. After numerous phone calls I finally realized there was nothing I could do in regards to their approval. On other hand American Array did a good job of keeping me informed regarding the process and seeing that things came to fruition on their part. After some confusion and talking to at least seven different people I was finally able to have Gina take charge. Her positive can do attitude and her willingness to listen to my frustration made the process easier. I also want to mention Jose for his professional and prompt response as head of the installation crew. In conclusion American Array had everything completed within a reasonable time line.

I have installed the Solar System from American Array Solar in Feb 2023 certified for NEM 2.0. The service had been amazing right from the initial discussion, site visit and quick roof check to help assess the conditions, then completing the documentation for NEM2.0 compatibility. They had also provided the very good financing options with lucrative interest rates fitting my budget. The installation team went above and beyond and also ensured to finish the installation within the deadlines along with the CITY survey and needed documentation considering the server winter weather in early 2023. Friend of mine recommended American Array. I am glad that I chose them. Their quote for 3.6 KW solar system (10 Panasonic panels with Enphase micro-inverters for each panel) was the lowest bid I got. They completed the work well before the contract date. Our system is up and running. Their (Adam, Neha, and Nicholas) response for any inquiries were prompt and professionalism.
