American Legion reviews
14This can be a great resource for PCT hikers looking for a sheltered area to camp (their back patio is covered and cots are available). There are also occasional food options (there was a St. Patty's feed and we also lucked out and got a great all-you-can-eat breakfast they hosted to send kids to camp).
We were invited in to eat by a person standing outside of this American legion to try their tri-tip. We came back a couple hours later and the hospitality, service, food and overall expirience was phenomenal. It was our highlight of the day. Me and the friends I was with all agreed to come back every time we visit Julian. That's how awesome this place was. The staff is very friendly. I had the tri tip quesadilla and sandwich (not knowing how generous the portions were). Got full with the quesadilla and left almost half! Couldn't finish the sandwich either. Had to get to-go boxes. The only thing I'm disappointed about is forgetting that to-go box on the table when I left!
Well attended breakfast for the Wounded Warriors.goes on to one o'clock today.don't miss it!
Great meeting place for the Oceanside Newcomers.
Good prices for renting out a meeting place.
Love that they have a kitchen and serve food to go. No fast food or franchise restaurants in town, so to grab and go after calling ahead is a great deal easier than going to other little restaurants on such a little town. Don't get me wrong. We have several great restaurants. Julian Cafe, Apple Alley, soups and such and Julian pie company. Great small town atmosphere in all.
Loved this place. Two couples made us feel so welcome eventhough they were preparing hundreds of pounds of meat for 4th of July parade & barbecue. Howard & Mo are the best, hope to see them again.
Best bar I've ever been to. The bartender was extremely friendly and the food was on point. If I come back through Julian I'll be sure to stop by for a cold beverage.
We went her for lunch. Absolutely one of the best burgers I've ever had, I was going to take big bite and take a picture of it but it was too good to stop. Well be going back next weekend to have another. I'll get pictures next time.
We showed up today from ALR chapters 555 and 328 with 12 of us total. We all ordered food and the food was absolutely excellent. Whoever was cooking today (02/20/2022) did a great job. The bartender was on point and everybody was very friendly. I highly recommend this post. Best bacon cheeseburger I’ve ever had.
My wife and I love the place. Dropped in a few ago and really enjoyed the atmosphere there.the drinks were the bomb! We stayed for the weekend and hung out. Will be coming back to party with all the veterans. Mst gonna Sgt Lopez retired USMC. Seimper Fi.
What a great find! We came to Julian for the weekend and stopped by for a bison bbq and live music. Was amazing!
Awesome place. Food to order and drinks. All food i have had over the many years going to this post was always consistently great.
Great patio, easier parking and a welcome respite from the busy downtown. Definitely recommend to other Legion members.
Good people, honorable people, we owe a huge debt of gratitude to all who have served our great nation. Add to that a great bar and fantastic bar food, it is one of the best places in Julian. It is another reason to visit Julian.
