If there was a no star option, I would be giving that. I’m furious with the way they handled paving Meder Rd in Cameron Park. First, they have absolutely NO idea what traffic control is. If they did, they would have had safe traffic control plan in place to ensure that drivers knew where they were going and WHAT SIDE OF THE ROAD TO BE ON! The fact that they had a “Pilot” car and then no addition cones or signage to make sure that cars pulling out of neighborhoods along the route knew which way to go or which side of the road to be on. I had cars coming at me in the opposite direction. Second, they completely blocked both lanes of Meder, not allowing residents to turn right out of their neighborhood. No signage saying ROAD CLOSED or DETOUR. It’s unreal and completely unacceptable. Besides being totally dangerous. Who allowed this company to perform public works? They should be fired immediately!
Lastly, the fact that this work was being done right when a HUGE high school is getting out, making traffic 10 times worse, was probably one of the most irresponsible things I’ve seen. I could not get to the elementary school to pick my 6 year old up on time and she was crying because she didn’t know where I was.
So, if anyone can point me in the direction of the human responsible for 1. Hiring this unqualified company to perform a public works project and 2. For deciding it was ok to close two lanes of a main road during the end of a school day (not to mention, if God forbid, there was a fire and that’s the main road for residents to get out on), I would truly appreciate it.
This company should not be used for any more public project because they DO NOT know how to comply with public construction safety guidelines.

Driver almost hit me on the street I live on and then flipped me off. Not a local company to me and I feel bad for whoever job they are on. Very unprofessional and unsafe.

This company has done such a shoddy job of repaving the Avenue of the Giants. Let me begin by saying that I not only live on the road they’re working on, I also work on the same road. I did not receive any notice at any time of work being done, timelines, or the work entailed at my residence or at my business. The project has now been ongoing on a six mile stretch of road for over a month, with multiple traffic delays and inconveniences. Most recently they closed both exits to my office from the highway, with one being closed for two whole days with no notice whatsoever even though work was not directly occurring in the immediate vicinity for any length of time that would warrant a multi day closure. They left one of the exits closed overnight when no one was working, leaving area residents no alternate route and no ability to access their home, even when no work was occurring. When both exits were closed and no one in my block of businesses could access their building, again with no prior notice whatsoever, I told them they couldn’t just close roads and block stop signs for no reason, their response was to threaten to call the cops on me. Not only did they leave enough loose rocks on the road to destroy my windshield, the oil and loose gravel that they keep putting down on the roadway has caked up everywhere on the underside of my car and has destroyed the paint on the bottom of my vehicle. The roadways are uneven, the yellow stripes on the roadway are about 8” apart, and the entire thing is worse than it was before they started the project. I would give no stars if I could.
