Very good service. For some reason, I felt that this blood donation service ran a lot quicker and more efficient than other occasions.

Good God the Red Cross has become a waste of time. I wanted to take a CPR first aid class. Which is easy but when you want to speak with a person asking about the practical portion of the class you get call centers back East which doesn't help you in the Antelope Valley in Southern Calif Why is it so hard to hire people to answer the phone in Palmdale? Geez
And then they transfer you to Christina in the Glendale office. Guess what? Her mailbox is full. So how can you leave a message. What a joke.

Here's your chance to make a difference in a big way! Donate blood. I've been giving blood since 1974. It's always a been a worthwhile experience. The process is easy. First you sign in at the registration desk. Next you sit down and read the information about giving blood, how your blood is tested, how the draw takes place, what to expect, and restrictions for giving. Now you'll sit and wait for the next available tech. The tech will have you fill out required information about yourself (using a laptop), check your temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and iron level. When that's completed you'll wait for the next available donation table. Now you decide which arm you'll donate from, get onto the table which has a cushioned back, go through a cleansing process below your elbow where the best veins are located, and have the needle inserted. The time needed to remove a pint of blood varies depending on your bodily blood flow. Once the bag fills and the needle is removed, the tech will take a few small vials of blood for testing, cover the stick area with a gauze pad and tape, and wrap the elbow area with a short piece of expansion wrap. You're done. Now it's time for your snack. There will be packaged snacks like Cheezits, cookies, trail mix, fruit chews, and water and fruit juices. You'll have a chance to sign up for your next blood draw if you so choose. The wait period for a whole blood donation is 8 weeks. You are truly giving the gift of life to another person who may be in desperate need of blood. Over the years I've donated almost 20 gallons of blood (two more pints to go).

Review for October 1st, 2021. What can you say, you absolutely have to love the American red cross. In this time of difficulties and turmoil and a lot of need for blood donation, I am happy to participate in the donation process. I'm not guilty, to say that I absolutely appreciate what they do around the world to help people in need.

I walked out the girls where very rude. We Volunteer to come in and give blood. At least take a look and act more hospitable

The worst experience I've ever had. The girl That helped me in and with the paperwork was very kind and very nice but the girl that checked me in was horrible didn't seem like she new what she was doing and treated me like a homeless person or a bum or a drug addict. She made me feel very uncomfortable

Very disappointed. I don't mind traveling to give blood. To argue about what it shows online. If they have a full schedule do NOT come, if you are not one of the appointments. They do not welcome walk-ins like most blood drive places. So disappointed. I have to find some where that would like to take my blood. I get calls, texts, and emails about the demand. If I went by how they did it. The demand is no longer there.
