American Teardrop

Buyer Beware. Had a 20k plus eagle built that resulted in a full return and a lot of wasted time and money. This shop is disorganized from start to finish and they are not good at what they do. STAY AWAY! Their website has been down for months and the couple videos online from a professional reviewer “tall man rv” are not accurate. The new owner has only been the owner for a year. The previous owner of American Teardrop has retired or no longer involved with the day to day operation. Low quality trailer that didn’t work properly. Electrical solar system was not operational, pluming issues, billing discrepancies, and just about every other detail was bad. Had to stay in a hotel for two nights while waiting for them to finish. They postponed my original pick up by a week. I called prior to driving from Arizona to make sure build was on time and was assured my new pickup date was on time. Two days of hotel and trailer was still not operational. I was promised awning parts I paid separately for would be shipped to my home and I still haven’t received. Until they read this review I can guarantee they won’t remember to ship. Waste of time and money.

*** update- awning parts I paid separately for have still not been returned. Since writing this review, numerous people have reached out via social media and shared similar stories to what I experienced. Carl and CJay are not people who stick to their word.

*** update 2- awning brackets were never shipped to my home. I have 2 expensive 23 Zero awnings with no mounting brackets. Had to fabricate new mounts onto my new Hiker Trailer. Hiker is a great “squredrop” trailer company. They build a quality rig at a much more affordable price than American Teardrop. Don’t waste your time and money with ATD and I hope this review helps many people to make a better choice than I originally did!
