Amica Mutual Insurance Company reviews
9I was rear ended by an Amica member. My car was no longer drivable. The agent never even reached out. I called in repeatedly asking for things to be done and it was pulling teeth. At one point she tried to tell me that they were rescinding my rental even though my car wasn’t fixed. Not drivable. The body shop she picked couldn’t work on my car. I had to call around body shops to find someone to fix it and then she suddenly changed her mind and I got to keep the rental. They did not reimburse my parking tickets for my car being on the road unfixed until it was able to be towed by them (weeks). Very difficult and unfortunate experience. I have been rear ended before and the experience with the other insurance company was nothing like this
Much more expensive (than Prudential) and admitted it on the phone with me. Said they were more 3d0ensove because they pay faster and easier if something happens.
Online quote process is only 10 percent of the process. Big time waste and time sink.
Skip it and save time.
Had yhis insurance company for 4 years now. A vehicle backed into my vehicle. Driver had suspended license. Police report was taken an driver was issued a citation. Sent claim out for his insurance to pay. Amica claims jis insurance company they have not return any calls. Been over a month now. Amica claim specailist 'this insurance company takes it time to answer back. He even lied saying the information is pending to them on the police report. He even sent the contact information of the insurance claim from the other party. Again he's never spoke to the other party insurance agent.
Since the company is having bad employee reviews removed off of Glassdoor, fine I'll post it here.
Applied through Indeed. Although I got a response for an interview, they first wanted me to record a video of myself answering questions they would send over, then call me back if I did well enough for an interview. I'm sorry, but an interview is a two way street. Employees are interviewing the company as much as vise versa. And making me record a video to submit without my chance to ask my own questions is just a poor practice. I told them to remove my application from consideration.
I have home and auto with them. Their chat is excellent. I've also filed claims on my house and car for things from rain damage to replacing windshields, to car accidents. They even told us we can get new car seats covered when my wife was in an accident. I have had nothing but good experiences with them.
I am currently shopping around for life insurance and they have good rates and their customer service I experienced was attentive and helpful. Natalie Moore was my representative and she was awesome. She said she would call me back within a week to follow up and she did. No complains here!
The negative reviews do raise a red flags though so I am currently still looking around but I have not counted Amica out.
Amica stood with me for three years during one of the most upsetting events of my life, provided an outstanding lawyer, and protected my interests. I am so thankful that I was so well represented.
Horrible customer service they don’t know what there doing unprofessional I don’t not recommend they probably won’t fix your car if you get in accident
This is undoubtedly the worst insurance I ever had to deal with.
One of Amica’s clients recklessly ran into our car while we were at a red stoplight.
Ever since it has been two months of Amica giving me false information on my car (including not knowing where they stored it), downplaying the value of the crash although my car is clearly totaled.
And while trying to get more information on my case which Amica has claimed they would provide me with (but of course didn’t) I have only encountered highly incompetent customer service filled with rude and laissez faire attitudes from their end and I am now debating on whether I should pursue legal action as this circus has only wasted my time and caused more inconveniences from Amica’s end.
I am lucky to not be a client of this insurance but just having to deal with them from the outside alone was already more horrible than any other insurance I’ve had to deal with.
I advise you strongly to stay away from this circus of incompetence.
