Anawalt Lumber Company, Los Angeles CA

I used to go to the nursery and all employees are super kind and helpful, but a month ago I purchased a bougainvillea and it brought mealybugs in my garden.
I have been trying to get rid of them but it s very difficult an now the bugs are attacking the other plants I have. The nursery didn’t offer to replace my bougainvillea.

We came here for some gardening advice and the staff was absolutely wonderful and so helpful, we will definitely keep coming back here!

Would give 10 stars if I could. So nice, and great for everything from arts and crafts to full on renovations. Also so awesome to have close by, and way better than a regular hardware store.

Have said this particular Anawalt store gets A1 from me in all categories: customer service (inside n outside), availability of products, knowledge of the floor staff

I always enjoy this hardware store. Its well stocked and you can get personal attention However, today, the cashier was unfriendly and rude to us and two other customers. It was most unfortunate. She should just go home.

I love this store! It's small bit usually has whatever I may need for my projects. The garden area is nice with a great selection of plants. Staff is generally nice and helpful. I'm the type of person who supports local businesses rather than corporate monsters and for many good reasons.

They are a well supplied store only problem that I keep experiencing is there cashier's they are so slow an at times there will only be one cashier and it's the slowest one the guys on the yard are a great help but for one guy who jumped on top of my truck to load some stuff and I told him why he did that and he just brushed me off with a how else was I supposed to do it, I have had many things loaded on my truck in a professional way this guy just did not care

By far the best hardware store with the best help in the area. I have been coming here for years. Love this place. The service is what makes this place far ahead of say a home depot. Its got big store power with a small town feel. Great people and service is solid! David is the man!

After calling three home depots to have them all tell me that the saw is broken I found the sanctuary that is Anawalt Lumber Yard. Upon entering I strolled through the beautiful plant nursery and then went up to the booth clearly marked for cut lumber. The gentlemen working was exceptionally friendly and took the time to listen to what my project was, as someone who is not so handy his advice was indispensable.

I like the place, it has tons of things. The associates are friendly and they try to help in the best of their knowledge. There is everything clearly overpriced. It definitely needs some cleaning maintenance: the shelves and the items are so dusty and dirty so i would recommend gloves while visiting it.

Got tired of absolutely no customer service at HD.
When you have a question it doesn’t take 45 minutes to get an answer or even find someone.
True story.

Excellent experience. I went in knowing I needed to get my lumber cut to size since I lacked the space in my apartment and my chop saw is 500 miles away. The gentleman that helped me confirmed what i wanted from the list I had twice. Then we inspected EVERY piece of lumber which was nice, and then her measured twice and checked every item off.

Top notch.

They're just not very friendly here. Especially the girls checking you out. And it can take forever to get someone to help you, even when there are hardly any customers in the store. Go to Koontz in west Hollywood for an amazing hardware store selection and staff that actually like their jobs!

They have great prices and good customer service! I needed a lot of supplies for the store and also rented a saw from there, and Franklin the manager helped me with a few questions and was extremely accommodating. Thank you Franklin! Anawalt is very good to their customers, I’m satisfied!

I can't say enough good things about Anawalt Lumber! I love knowing that I can shop there without the constant harassment or pushy sales atmosphere, but get that attentive, friendly, knowledgable help when I need it. Perfect balance. And don't forget the diverse, unique, and relevant selection.

Helpful staff, decent prices and a good alternative to larger more crowded stores for your basic home improvement and gardening needs

I found a lot of items on my own that I forgot I needed. To work on repairs in my apartment buildings I have a Home D.commercial acct. & trades people but it was very easy find things, including a bent wrench that was nowhere on the internet. Deadpan, funny checkout.
