Anchor Oyster Bar reviews
11I'm actually slobbering! It was longer than an hour pause, however definitely justified. An extraordinary dinner, a bit expensive, however hello we were commending our fifth commemoration, an extended get-away from NC, and this is a first rate little café in a major city. All that we attempted and I'm certain everything on the menu, is amazing. Cant turn out badly with this spot.
I loved this place! Super busy and delicious food. The staff here was amazing and super sweet. They went above and beyond to make sure we were being accommodated. I got the crab cakes entree and my husband got the cioppino. The food portions are great and you will not leave here feeling unfulfilled. We are most definitely planning to return here for more.
I love this restaurant. I opt for togo. The food is always.incredible. Portions are very good & I always want to come back.
It’s been over a year since I ate here and I think about this food so much! I’m not fond of fish, but this restaurant changed my mind! Sad I live so far away otherwise I would go here too often (not a bad thing)! I will never be able to have clam chowder again because of how amazing the one here is!
Absolutely amazing as usual from start to finish! Wine amazing, food even better. Excellent service and recommendations. Always a favorite when we visit San Francisco! Thank you to all the staff!
Wonderful seafood bar, they're open during covid and it's easier to get a seat than before. They built an adorable set of sidewalk booths that are done up like seaside shacks, it's extremely charming. First come first serve, claim a table and send someone from your party up front to order.
The food is still fantastic, the clam chowder is perfect and the daily specials always have something great. The cost is about the same as other un-fancy seafood places in SF, but the portions are sized for sharing. The go-to is a regular cioppino for two, or a large for three. That, an appetizer and chowder, and a drink or two each doesn't set you back that bad.
With the quar setup, it's very different and also just the same. A shining pearl of a restaurant, one of my all time SF faves.
Been going here a couple years and they never disappoint. Outdoor seating for now so come prepared. The dozen oysters with clams is superb. Customer service is top notch. Keep it up Mr. Anchor Oyster
Great view! I think I ordered the wrong dish, and so my experience wasn't 5 stars. However the rest of my party loved their dishes and the service was excellent. The hostesses didn't seem interested in their job but our waitress was amazing. I would definitely come here again, but order something different.
This place is located upstairs in the pier 39 shopping center. Overall this place offers a great view of the pier. The food itself was solid. The clam chowder was delicious. I had a shrimp dish (I forgot the name) that was mouth watering. The HH selection was decent as well. The bartender and waiters were solid as well.
Wonderful food, great atmosphere, fantastic and knowledgeable staff. Simply one of the best restaurants you could hope to visit! Love it!
One of my favorite places! The seafood is of the best quality, fresh and the chefs prepare the dishes so delicious! I love it.
