Angela's Italian Restaurant reviews
15 I'm so sorry to say that I didn't enjoy my meal. I want to give it a three but refuse to damage their scores too much. I should have gone with pizza or tried Whities pasta. My nieces enjoyed their meals. My sister and I did not. She ordered the chicken Alfredo. I ordered favorite pasta. It was very bland with way too much sauce. My sister returned hers for a pizza. I saved my for lunch. I added ranch and it was better. My hubby and my brother in law both had Angela's pasta. My hubby's pasta was bland with heavy sauce. He said he liked it. He put a lot of Parmesan cheese in it. I just couldn't. Salt and pepper flakes couldn't fix my pasta. I lost my appetite. Bruchetta was good. My other niece had a sausage pizza that was good.
Mom ordered soup, chicken wings, and something else. Unsure how she felt about it.
I do apologize for saying, but the service was lacking a little. No one asked if about refills if they did it wasn't for a long time. I could have sworn my brother in law asked for a refill. They didn't clean our table as we were done. I was serving cake surrounded by dirty please with little room to work. The staff are pleasant and professional. I'm just accustomed to better service. The bathroom hall is eery and the bathroom had a weird smell but it was clean with soap. I only washed my hands anyway.
We spent $84 can't remember if that was including the tip.
We came around 7: 30 with a rather large party. They gave us plenty of time to decide on what we wanted. The food wasn't rushed out. We didn't have to wait a long time for the food. But long enough that we know that everything was made fresh. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Our server was not overly friendly, but polite and professional she did her job well you can tell she was a seasoned server. It was a birthday dinner, weren't rushed out. I happened to notice some other patrons of the restaurant who I know. They own another Italian restaurant in town. Tells you a lot about the quality of food when someone owns an Italian restaurant but they come to this one. I had the pollo calzone it's made with an alfredo sauce on the side. It was a big portion and loaded with sauteed chicken, mozzarella, mushrooms and bell peppers. It was delicious. From what I could see from my friends plates. One ordered the stuffed eggplant with rigatoni. They said it was fantastic. Another ordered the Whitey's. Named after Whitey's pets I believe. It was grilled chicken & spaghetti with a alfredo sauce I believe. It looked really good. I was so hungry I didn't take pictures everything looked fantastic. And they give you a huge portion. Everything was very modestly priced. I highly recommend this restaurant. And I look forward to coming back again and trying more dishes. ()
Terrible customer service.
No one speaks English.
Extremely overpriced.
Feels more like just another Mexican restaurant under the "Italian Food " banner. This isn't even close to the old DiCiccos recipe. Ever notice how there is no one inside dining except a few tables.
There is better Italian food made by real Italians elsewhere.
Excellent dinner and service. The pasta was fresh, the sauce zesty and the service impeccable. We will most definitely return.
Attempted to order over the phone, but unfortunately the phone wasn't properly put back after the last phone call. The line was left as busy. Ordered my food in person and was given an ETA of 15-25 minutes. It actually took around 40 minutes. While waiting, I noticed an inconsistency in price on my reciept to the menu and was informed the menu prices advertised were incorrect. Wouldn't reccomend the Mac n Cheese, but would absolutely encourage others to try their Hawaiian Pizza. If you have an hour to sit and eat, you should try it!
Wonderful and tasty. A family owned business, a hidden gem for big portions of Italian food. Favorite dish is the favorite pasta (chicken fettuccini with bacon and mushrooms) clam chowder on weekends is also to die for. Very accommodating to any dietary needs or preferences! Always at the top of my list when picking Italian in Fresno.
DiCiccos has got way too expensive. SO in a effort to find some reasonably priced Italian Food in Fresno, decided to try this place. It goes unnoticed in a strip mall between a Dollar Tree and a Furniture store, so it's sleepy. But, boy, the food is good. I will frequent this spot regularly as a replacement to Diciccos. The foods just as good, but priced much better.
Music ruined ambiance! Long wait for food- pricey. Shrimp-mealy, scallops-too raw, sauce-pasta-shrooms- good. Bread-good. Waitress-attentive & pleasant.
Pretty darn good! I ate every bite! My dinner companion took home half of their dinner, but I finished mine before ever leaving the place!
Food is delicious. People are so nice. Chef is wonderful. The house bread is so good. We finished it all and the waitress ask if we want to refill. Which we all did and she came back told us they ran out. But the chef made us bread with mozzarella cheese on top. So delicious.
Pasta good, hot wings good. Will come back
Our food was very good. Fresh soft bread was a plus. Waitress was very friendly and did a great job. We will be back.
I arrived close to closing time but I had no issues ordering dine in. Minestrone was unique and really good as well as their calzón. I will be returning to try more of their options.
Angela's Italian restaurant is a great place to be family oriented spaghetti is great and if I can include the bread also had a great time very quiet and clean a place to eat my type of place
All I gotta say is don't order a salad, they bring you out a bowl of lettuce nothing else and they throw a few little pieces of salami and cheese on top. We had the Calzone, be sure and ask for sauce because they don't put any inside the Calzone. It was just ok nothing special.
Food was amazing and service was excellent! Fairly priced for the portion sizes. Will definitely be back soon! Vegetarians will not be disappointed. Call to ask about gluten free options- not sure about that.
