Animal Behavior College, Valencia CA

When you get to the internship for hands on training they don't have any trainers, you have to drive in our case 3 hours there and 3 hours back for one hour of internship, they didn't disclose that when we signed up they said it would be within a 50 mile radius
on line internship is not a substitute for learning with an actual dog
and they don't have dogs to use for actual training, you have to find one yourself

The school has been everything I've needed and more always having friendly helpful staff ready to help when I need assistance.

I love this program! Admission was a breeze with great customer service. I am about 1/3 of the way through my program and I cannot get enough! The reading materials and videos are fantastic. My program manager always responds when I email her and I am learning a lot! I absolutely recommend ABC to anyone interested in a career working with animals! I currently work in a great job in a completely different field but when I decided to make a drastic change the support ABC has showed has been phenomenal.

I don't where to start, I have been to many colleges, both online and in person and ABC is one of the best I have come across in a very long time. I love how personable the staff is and how you get your own program manager, I can call her or text any time with questions no matter how small I may think they are and they guide you through the process, this is a college that wants to see their students succeed and they will do what they can to see that you do. Not to mention if you are passionate about animals what better way to start a career or continue on with your career of something you are passionate about.

I completed my Dog Obedience Certification with Animal Behavior College, back in 2019. The skills I acquired from the on-line training, externship and volunteer shelter hours really set me up for success. I felt confident and immediately got results with client's dogs, applying what I learned.
Today, I own one of the most recommended dog training companies in the Spring Hill, TN area. I don't believe I could have done this without my education from ABC.
I enjoyed it so much that I recently decided to enroll again! This time I am studying the Service Dog Trainer program, so that I can fulfill a dream of training service dogs for Veterans and others in need. I feel confident that my further education with ABC will set me on the right path.

Eh its decent. Its all basic training information. If you are already well versed in positive reinforcement, you dont need this. I pretty much knew all this before i took the classes, so keep that in mind. Its all very basic. Its wonderful if you do not know much about dogs, but if you've raised dogs your whole life, trust me, you know this already. The externship was the best part. I had a wonderful mentor Trainer named Alice with whom I still stay in contact with. That’s truly where you learn different aspects of training. I loved that part.

So, I started my program back in January of 2023 and I was very wary of doing an online certification course for anything, but on impulse, I decided I needed to DO something to get moving on with my life, be successful, and all that, that I joined up with ABC after some digging around.

The site itself is very easy to navigate, and the program managers they give you are kind and knowledgeable and always, always willing to answer your questions. They'd even check up on your progress between exams which I loved.

I have completed all exams at this point and am about to start the last phase - the externship. Nervous but super excited. I am happy with my progress and ready to get some hands-on training.

I started this journey just a couple months ago, and I am glad I picked Animal Behavior College.
My experience so far with Animal Behavior College has been top notch. There are so many courses available. Curriculum seems well thought out and put together in a way to help you learn material at my own pace.
I work full time (40-50hrs/wk) and it has been easy to study in the evenings and weekend while still having a home life.
Dog obedience and training has been a dream of mine for years. I finally took steps needed to become a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and I am excited to complete the course work and fulfill a longtime dream.
The materials in courses are packed with information and knowledge from experts in the field. Text is easy to follow and review sections really provide a way to retain what you have just learned in each section.
Staff has been polite and friendly as well as knowledgeable about the courses they offer.

I am in stage 8 of my course and have learned so much! The material has kept me very engaged, as I am known for getting bored or distracted from text learning. Even without my externship experience yet, I have practiced on many friends and family dogs, because the text alone has given me the confidence to get started. I cannot wait to work in a real grooming salon for my externship and put these new skills to work!

Animal behavior college was so easy to get started. They did everything pretty much for me. I have just completed stage nine. All I have left is my externship and then I’ll be finished! The dog grooming program has been great. Surprisingly ABC has kept me interested and that’s not an easy task.

I will be recommending ABC to anyone who is looking into grooming! The enrollment process was fast and easy, everyone I have dealt with has been amazing and super helpful! I am half way through the online portion of the grooming program and I am enjoying it! The material is great and informative. I am excited to do the hands on portion and work with a professional groomer! Very glad I started this adventure!

If your are considering attending Animal Behavior College.don't hesitate! You will learn a lot without being overwhelmed. Enroll at ABC.you won't be disappointed.

Worst school ever, my sister joined and just was sent information on how to do the course but when it came to doing her mentorship the mentor was super unprofessional! Had shirtless men around my sister and always rescheduled even though my sister was on a schedule to finish her course before august! Her counselor did not help either. DO NOT ENROLL HERE! Waste of time and money!

Edit: while their reply was very unprofessional this mentor is located by Fort Worth, my sister and my mother have talked to her teacher about these experiences and they did nothing about it except say if they do it again let us know. Which they have multiple times! This school is full of unprofessional people obviously. I stand by what I said

Animal Behavior College is an incredible option for animal lovers wanting to expand their expertise. There is an incredible variety of course offerings, all using positive-reinforcement techniques. The enrollment process is quick and easy and curriculum is clear. Their program managers offer great communication and assistance throughout the course. Highly recommend!

My experience with ABC has been wonderful so far. The enrollment process was very easy, and the counselor that I have immediately got in contact with me to get my program started and I would recommend them 100%.
