Ann Karen Day Spa reviews
15Amy massaged all my knots out of my neck and back. The scrub was awesome, my skin feels so soft and clean. She made me feel comfortable with the complete service. I booked my next one because of her
I just had the best massage of my life. The spa is very clean and quiet. I haven’t felt this relaxed in years. I will be returning monthly.
I think everything was wonderful! The only thing I think was missing was the spa smell you get when you have a massage. Usually it's lavender or eucalyptus. But that's all
We have use this facility for 15 years o more. It is the best place to relax and treat yourself to decompress. Best in Los Angeles
I visited this spa for the first time recently,
I was greeted by a very nice technician Mary, she first brought me a tasty cup of hot tea, and drew a milk bath for me, after 15 mins of soaking she came back to start my body scrub.
After a hot towel cleaning, she proceeded to give me a wonderful Swedish massage, she was also very knowledgeable, and explained the benefits of my particular treatments and how this helps to release toxins from the body… needless to say I will be seeing Mary again ️
Wonderful service, beautiful atmosphere, kind staff. The services are excellent for relaxing and taking time to take care of yourself. The facility is designed to make you leave any stress outside. It's soothing and relaxing inside! It's a place I highly recommend.
This place is awesome. The front desk staff is very helpful and informative. Ask them about what they would suggest for your situation and you will be surprised. They have plenty of different massage options. And the massage staff is professional and polite. The spa rooms are clean and provide a good atmosphere. It is worth buying the whole day pass as the salt room and steam rooms are places where you would want to spend time before your therapy (Those are sometimes closed based on LA county recommendations due to outbreaks in the area and/or pandemic). The baths they offer are very good for your skin and blood circulation. Gives your skin such a good cleanse and a gentle scrub. Must try place.
I've been to many Spas, my massage was really very good! Great experience. Very welcoming staff
I like this place, I fall asleep during the one hour facial, will come back here for facial again
Today was my first ever full body scrub and massage. Karen spa made it worth my wild! From the receptionist who accommodated me in the same day to my masseuse Sunny who was incredible. The vibe was so Zenful, I walked out feeling so incredibly refreshed I would recommend coming here any day I can’t wait to go back!
Everyone at the spa was truly lovely and helpful. The staff is so friendly and warm and they make you feel right at home. Elaine was wonderful and so full of joy. The whole facility was sparkling clean and the quiet room and saunas were an extra bonus. I had a cupping treatment from a very knowledgeable woman who was very kind and explained thoroughly everything she did and made me very comfortable. I am looking forward to me next visit already!
Very nice and clean facility. Salt scrub and bath plus massage was very very relaxing. Salt room is definitely a bonus. Staff are friendly.
Beautiful spa, very clean, just gorgeous! Excellent facial, i loved it and will come back soon!
Things that I liked:
1.accepting massage appointments currently during covid. Even for next day.
2. Private tub suite
3. Location, easy parking.
4. Facilities clean, quiet, nice locker and shower area, with jacuzzi & steam rooms if open.
5. Slippers and robes
6. Tea
What I didn’t like:
1. Website offerings are different then what is actually offered. I wanted to have a “custom bath” for a private tub suite i reserved and was told they did not do this? !
2. Customer service was a bit rude, maybe because I’m Asian. Not sure, but I felt questioned about my reservation numerous times.
3. My appt was at 2: 30, they were not prepared even though it seemed like there was no other patrons.
4. Prices are not clear.
5. Service was overpriced considering half their amenities weren’t available
6. Before I paid I was pressured to give more gratuity. This was very offensive. Considering I’m a good tipper when deserved. They took my reservation it’s not my problem if they are over staffed and under booked.
7. Inconsistent services I had a couples massage with a male friend, they used oil on him, I did not get any. Why is this?
8. Strange signage “there is no complete privacy, subject to inspection by Arcadia police at any time” posted in the room? ! I mean, what’s really going on here? ! Regardless I don’t care, but I don’t want to read about it. Also it’s your establishment.
9. Due to covid NO amenities jacuzzi, steam room and saunas are closed. Not even available on private basis.
This spa has great potential, it’s like an Asian owned Burke Williams. But it’s lacking in etiquette. Honestly after even writing this review I’m more bothered by the service I received.
I've been going to the Kabuki baths on women only days for a while. It's usually a fabulous experience and I leave very relaxed. Every once in a while the place is over-run with people who don't get the "quiet meditation" part, but the attendants are great about shushing people. The massages aren't fabulous, but the facials are great.
