1 Dr. Anna Lembke is not only an extraordinary psychiatrist, she has taken a personal interest in the most difficult experience of a mom's lifetime.the suicide of my only child and best friend, Christopher, aged 35 when he took his life on September 21,2021.
On that horrible day O reached out to her by telephone. Her assistant said she would give her the message immediately.
Dr. Lembke called me back promptly from an airport in Florida where she was waiting on her flight home.
She had made a presentation on her new book, Dopamine Nation, to a conference for addiction specialists.
She proceeded to support and comfort me for 45 minutes on that horrible day.
I will forever be grateful for loving experience I shared with her and continue to be grateful for her as one of my doctor's at Stanford Medical.
