Anne Han, M.D., San Francisco CA

Like the others have mentioned, I am not impressed with Dr. Han (though the staff and front desk were extremely friendly). Aside from waiting an additional 25 minutes in my exam room, Dr. Han was quite dismissive and unhelpful. Every time I explained my problem, Dr. Han would continue to say "I don't know what you're describing" and actively dismissing my skin issues because "it doesn't happen. " It got to the point where she prescribed me numerous medications and did not even explain how to apply the topical medication! When I finally asked, she said "just put it on the affected areas" but then later mentioned applying it to my entire face! Others have mentioned that Dr. Han is very cold, but I guess she is just being professional. She definitely was not friendly and I will not being seeing her again. Unfortunately, the M. D.degree from Columbia must not have covered bedside manners!

I have been with. Dr. Han since 2015. Aside from a limiting schedule like many doctors, I find her credibility and care much higher than the negative reviews cited below. The healthcare system is more to blame since many doctors, nurses, assistants are overworked and understaffed as recently observed with Kaiser's 2023 strike.

Nearly impossible to make an appointment. No one answers phone and no one returns messages. Definitely would not recommend.

My wife went to this alleged doctor (more like a charlatan) off the recommendation of her OB. It was a terrible experience, and while I'm not here to unpack everything around her and her assistant Natalie and their unprofessional and unempathetic behavior that day. What I want to talk about is how she is extremely incompetent and seems to only care about doing cosmetic procedures as you can see by her other reviews. She has no real interest and what seems to be no real knowledge or skill set in diagnosing elementary level skin issues. Not the reason behind my wives appointment but an issue that came up nonetheless, was a bad pedicure my wife had. The technician over scrubbed her feet and must not have properly cleaned her tools because my wives foot broke out with athletes foot. When the "doctor" took all but a second to look at the affected area she quickly dismissed it and said its just dead skin from the bad pedicure. Well here we are a month later and the issue still hasn't resolved itself. I took a photo of it and showed it to my dermatologist at the VA hospital and he said its clearly athletes foot and any 1st year resident would be able to know that. Well not good ol Anne. She only seems to be interested in making a quick buck off injecting people. WARNING: If you are looking for an actual dermatologist to take of your skin issues beyond cosmetic work, than I would look elsewhere, because she is bright as a burnt out lightbulb.

Yesterday I’ve seen Dr Han for my appointment and I don’t understand the hype about her and how she has such a rating. My appointment was at the Van Ness Sutter Health clinic and the time with her was rough as I felt I had to drag the words out of her mouth. It was as if she wanted to be anywhere else in the world but in that office with me! Her diagnosis was cold and her bedside manner was nonexistent and compassionless. On top of that she couldn’t even send my prescriptions to the right pharmacy and in a timely manner. I have an autoimmune disease that I greatly impressed upon her was painful and after noticing my prescription problem no one from her team would respond to my urgent messages in “My Chart” especially given that it’s a Friday as I write this and I fear she won’t even care to try and take care of this. Lastly, patients who want a doctor to treat them with respect, compassion, and not so scripted and robotic then be sure to look elsewhere. I mean it, she really just parrots things you can find on the internet. The only thing she seems to be good for is cutting a prescription and even that she doesn’t have a mastery over.
