I went for brunch and the view and taste were pretty good
The welcoming staff was fine, but the service of the serving friends was a little uncomfortable

The service at A+O Restaurant was excellent. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. He was also very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at A+O Restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special dining experience in Newport Beach.

Judging by the other servers/bartenders, it seems like a hospitable place. I guess I had the one bartender that had some kind of attitude. I apologized and changed my mind to have a tab and requested to pay out, he didn’t say a word with a gritty look. Good thing my scallops were good. Scallops and gin/tonic (17.00) came out to be $85. And that’s during happy hour.

High end hotel restaurant with both indoor and patio seating. Lots of glam and energy. It's very noisy and loud, and one can barely hear conversations at times. When live music is playing, it's even worse. The food is solidly good and tasty, not original or memorable. The service is friendly but not attentive - water glasses can go unfilled. Valet parking is miserably slow - you may easily wait 20 minutes for your car. Very expensive. Few vegetarian options. Go here for festive people watching and a high energy meal, not for an important conversation or distinctive food.

It's such a beautiful place that it's right next to the water. I love the live music. A&O is the place to go! The service was great. Just a heads up, they do change the menu. So I would check that before going if you're looking for something special.

The view is beautiful, the cocktails tasty, s d the flood incredible. I keep coming back to this place because the food never fails and they make a great espresso martini.

Great place to meet friends or for a business lunch. They have free valet when eating at the restaurant and the food, service and ambiance is great! The views are a given. Absolutely beautiful!

Dined here for Sunday brunch and had a great time. The weather was nice so we opted for the outdoor seating with amazing views of the harbor and boats. There’s open outdoor seating with fire pits and a nice bar inside.
Our waitress was fun and friendly. The crab cakes tasted flavorful and was paired with a delicious sauce. I decided to try the AO burger with their veggie patty and it was SO GOOD! The caramelized onions and 1000 island sauce on it was amazing! What stood out to me was the brioche bun that was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. My mom ordered the Cesar salad with salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and so were the homemade croutons.
The views here while dining are great. There is complimentary parking at the resort for the restaurant. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, the food, service, and the views.
This place has been added to the brunch rotation for sure!

They need to work on respecting their customers. We literally just came in and sat down and some security dude jumped at our table saying we can’t vape here. The thing is we didn’t even vape at all, we just came in and sat at the table looking at the menu. Food was also just average. We ordered a dessert and I specifically told them to bring it in the end. Guess what, the first thing they brought to my table was that dessert.

Very disrespectful, they assumed our friend was drunk because she was "stubling" and she wasnt drunk and proceeded to mention that they knew if a person was drunk "because they just know". This practice isnt constructive for this business to grow and blossum. I truly hope they learn to become better and learn about human nature and assumptions are not the way to go. Please re evaluate the people who work there and management system that surrounds this establishment. The universe would greatly appriciate it. Visited on a Tuesday afternoon for a birthday celebration. It was a little chilly outside but they have heaters. This is perfect option for a summer day to enjoy the Marina. I had the Mac and cheese which was outstanding. The hamburger was also good. But the Mac and again was very cheesy and very good you have to try it

Great spot to grab food by the water. Food was all really good and the service was spot on. Highly reccomend if you are staying in the resort or not.

This place is a vibe! Music was great, Maurice has the best attitude as well as the bartender. I definitely recommend this spot for drinks and rub elbows with the locals.

Probably short handed here, which is surprising given the amount of pay they must receive.

Dining checks automatically get charged a steep gratuity; regardless of the number of guests. This wouldn't be as painful if the service was at an expected level. Sadly it's become worse each time we visit over the past year, ironically since the auto-gratuity change.

I had the fish, which was great and prepared well. Others in my party had a hamburger and sandwich, which they found to be bland and dry.

Considering this is a pricey establishment, this is poor experience.
