Apex Inn, South Lake Tahoe CA

It is a very nice place to stay, first thing that stroke us after opening the door to our room was a fresh scent of laundry - everything was super clean. Furniture and TV is new and up to date, water is hot (you can obv adjust it tho) and staff is very welcoming and helpful

I was a little disappointed very nice wooden chalets and the toilets made noises all night long. The woman on the front desk tried to charge a double the amount because I was a storm and rooms were short

Nice simple motel room at a reasonable cost. Good location, clean room and all the essentials (cable tv, wifi, coffee maker, microwave, small refrigerator). 20 minutes away from Sierra At Tahoe ski resort. Have stayed here many times and will continue to do so. The management is friendly and helpful. Nearby restaurants and shopping are great with a variety of choices.

They denied a room to me with a service animal. Don’t go here if you have ptsd and need a service animal for support. The woman running the counter wouldn’t even give me her name, because I said I was going to report the business and she knew she was in the wrong. Please spend your money elsewhere if you support veterans.

It was quiet, and located a half mile from the main street that runs through Tahoe. Smaller rooms and has AC.

Honestly really confused about why the ratings aren't higher. For the price it's a slam dunk. Very clean, very quiet inn on the main road very close to delicious Bert's Cafe. Room was small, but very workable and clearly had been recently renovated. Heard no road noise at all! The staff was very friendly as well. Doesn't look like anything special on the outside, but honestly was just about perfect. Would definitely recommend, and revisit if i have the opportunity!

Room prices were high all over Tahoe the weekend we stayed and this was one of the least expensive places. I was leery because of negative reviews and ratings, but when the nearby campground we were staying at was terrible, we decided to try there anyway.

We were delightfully surprised to find the room recently remodeled and very clean, the bed comfortable, and the room had a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Yes, the rooms are small, but we had plenty of room to move around the living area. The room was very nice. It's near local stores and restaurants, a short drive from beaches. Staying there saved our weekend. We do a lot of Tahoe visits and will stay there again.

Small, kind of dingy, felt a little bit claustrophobic. Just didn’t seem like the cleanest place and it’s definitely very old.

Lovely, inexpensive little place! Fresh, clean rooms with microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Unfortunately bad water pressure in the shower, but everything else was great!

Although they hold extra $150 for some incident with room equipment this place is absolutely fine for this price. I think you don't need to waiting for the maximum service and extra attention from the management because for this price it is what you need to stop and sleep well.

Rooms were very clean and the king bed was decently comfortable, quiet peaceful location, easy check in check out process. Great bang for your buck

Shady place. Only one guy cleaning rooms and handling the grounds. Decided the place was too sketchy to stay in so we tried to cancel. Purchase made through hotels.com. Contacted the hotel to cancel and they said since we purchased through Hotels.com that they would have to refund us. Called Hotels.com and said no, that's actually on the hotel. They called the hotel and the hotel denied us our refund. Don't believe the reviews it says for this place, because it used to be a meth and squatter hotel. All the exceptional 10.0's are most likely made by family relatives of the people that own the Azul Inn. Read the ones that say 6.0 or 4.0 or 2.0 on the reviews. Those are accurate. Stay clear of this place and go to some more reputable place like a Roadway Inn.

Good value for money on WEEKDAYS for S Tahoe. Clean Rooms are small but okay for 2-3 nights. Great location if you go to Sierra at Tahoe.

Cons:

Weekends and holidays are extremely overprices - paying $240 for a double queen room that is hardly bigger than two beds are not good idea.

WiFi could be better - was hardly working.

They should also tell about the 100 dollar deposit online an on the phone other then wish the pillows would be softer but other then room was clean an neat quit little place to bad the little hot tub wasent open that would been nice but bc of covid it wasent they keep the place clean

Land of the no. Signs everywhere. Don’t back in o parking spots? !? Don’t have your tv too loud. Don’t have fun. They will call your room non stop to let you know that you cannot do certain things. Felt like I paid to sleep at my grandparents house. Later apex

Nice simple hotel with clean room but I'm not happy with their customer service. I booked a room for 3 nights over a month ago at $100 per night. With taxes, it's upto ~350. Due to covid mandates, the prices fluctuated a lot and rooms are currently available at the hotel for $70 per night. The manager didn't budge to give any discount or reduce the rate the slightest bit. It would've been better to book last minute to get the best rate. Sort of bummed.

I've stayed here multiple times when in SLT appreciate the owner's taste, and more. Clean, quiet, safe. Good family & good rates. Thank you.
