10 On 9/10/23, I went to the Apple Store in SLO for support with my iPhone. I needed help which I thought would be creating a new password, as I was unable to open my phone.
The first employee asked and told me I would need my Apple ID to get help. I said I did not know it, as it was on my locked phone. I was told that I needed to see a tech person and I made an appointment for 25 minutes later and he politely said I could leave and return for my appointment. All good and helpful
I returned to another employee who had a different customer relations style. He affirmed I had an appointment, but began to ask me multiple questions about my phone of which I did not understand.
Pause…. I am not a college
student or young or even a middle aged person. I am 70+ and my reason coming to the store was for help. I know little about my phone, not even enough to ask questions.
I repeated what I needed and he asked the same questions of which I gave answers which he did not like or understand and repeated the same questions to me as I tried to ask questions. There was only one change in our conversation: His voice got louder.
He asked if I needed the phone number for Apple Care, as he could see I was shrinking back and ready to leave. I said yes and he looked at me and said, “You have paper and pencil? ” I said I only have a locked phone.
Another employee gave me needed paper and pen and I left feeling….
Old. Stupid. Unprepared…. Embarrassed…. And no further ahead then when I came in.
So much for Apple CARE
My family in another state were able to help me. That was CARE.

Service in this store was outstanding. The gentleman, Brian, that helped me was so knowledgeable, patient, and kind. He also took time to double-check to see if the things he/we changed and corrected on my computer worked. I would not hesitate to go back!
Always going to the Genius Bar for different issues and they’re always helpful. Love apple stores.
Walk in today looking to purchase some gadgets with my wife, dude in the front with slick back hair did not even bother to greet us or say hi, I ask about a product and he did not even point out the location and just told me in the back and look away with a smurk, luckily a super busy employee with glasses greeted us and offered to help although she was occupied. I would have bought a Apple watch and some AirPods today but just poor communication and service led to my decision of not purchasing today and I rather just order online for myself.
I only waited a few minutes after my appointment time. The shop was very busy but there seemed to be adequate staffing. Liam was able to quickly solve my problem and treated me with respect even though I’m a tech dork.
Jaxon deserves a raise, very simple! His etiquette from beginning to end is very rare in this day in time. I usually don’t upgrade after just 1 year but, he took care of my friend yesterday with his phone issue in which resulted in me to upgrade! Blessings and I truly hope whoever this concerns takes note of what a good employee you have
Was gifted an older MacBook pro which is my first apple product yet. After 2 weeks of learning how to fix a big handful of error windows I finally went to ask for some help. They showed me very quickly what was wrong and thoroughly enough to be able to do it on my own. Turns out the macbook was trying to install the os so it wasn't even my fault as to why I couldn't fix it. Thank you very kindly!
As I make an appointment for today, I want to express how lucky I feel that I can just go downtown and someone with expertise and personality will be there to guide me! I don't hate going there - the vibe is good, the people are great, and I always learn a lot! Looking forward to seeing you today:)
Went in to get my phone fixed. My appointment was later at night and was guesstimated that my phone wouldn’t be fixed until the next morning. They were kind enough to take it in and get it fixed as fast as possible. It took them past closing time but I was so happy to be able to leave with my phone especially since I live out of town. I appreciate their efforts. Definitely recommend
