It's applebees, good to bring the little ones or have some drinks and eat fried food. It's usually decent tasting food and drinks are good

Slow service with servers talking to what seemed to be friends at other tables. I guess that's what happens in small towns. Food came out cold and very little attention was given to my table after receiving my food. Had to ask a buser to get my server. Just passing thru town so I probably will not be back. Much better applebee's in LA.

Food was great and out server, Roy was awesome. He was very attentive and had a great personality, he was super funny and made lunch 10x better!

An all time favorite go to restaurant when you are unsure of where to go. You cant go wrong here as its always good beer with good cheer and good meats along with good eats.

I ordered the Tex mex shrimp bowl but there was no guacamole and the tomato in the pico de gallo tasted overripe.

Ordered the full rack of ribs dinner meal I was very depressed there was no meat on the ribs ribs were bones. And it was my 64th birthday really bad.

The place has a nice atmosphere and the service was friendly, that's what holds this place together.but the steak was weak. Steak was scrawny and thin, so don't expect it to be cooked the way you want it, but it did have a great flavor. I guess maybe I have to consider the total value, which was okay. It may not be fair to criticize the cooks having to cook a thin steak to medium rare, it's not easy. Maybe that's just how an 8oz steak is. I like that they responded, so I upped my review to better match the experience.
When the bill came though, it had a third dinner on there that we didn't order or get. I'm an accountant, and when it was corrected, I noticed that whoever corrected it, COMP'ed it out. It should have been voided. I don't think it was the waitress, it was some management person. I just think the owners should know.

This place has a good football crowd. Food is ok and the drinks are not bad. Food has a much better taste to it than times before. Very friendly staff. I very much enjoy spending time here with the people and the sports. I spend some good time here. They staff is awesome, food is good and the jokes are always flying. Happy hour 3 to 6, then 9 til close. Ask for the half price combo. It's the secret menu.
I do have a problem with the TV situation. We need the TVs back in the bar so we dont have to look through other people to watch the game. People think we are staring at them because we have to look that way.

The evening that we went for a birthday party with a family group, everything was good we really enjoyed ourselves. The only thing was that the mashed potatoes were runny, everybody at the table who had ordered mashed potatoes, they weren’t like mashed potatoes. They were the consistency of grits.we didn’t say anything to the server because it wasn’t that big of a deal but just for future, the kitchen manager should check the quality of the food. It was probably the batch of mashed potatoes that evening, and nobody may have called attention to it, but for the price we’re paying now at the restaurants the mashed potatoes should have been at least been like mashed potatoes, and not like runny grits. Everything else was great. We really had a good time, loved the music they were playing service was good. Steak was delicious!

Your TV commercial looks good. However it was far from our expectations. We will not return.

They had already told me that it was bad, the attention is terrible, the food tasteless, more than 30 minutes waiting for a plate of food, I do not recommend it.

The server was very forgetful at first I thought she might be busy or who knows (it was not busy) it was only my son and I. She seemed bothered when I asked her for a kids menu. She wasn't friendly, she didn't come over to ask if we wanted refills, or if we needed anything. She didn't provide me with my balance how usually they do and then offer for you to pay at the kiosk, I still tipped her, and she just came over gave me my receipt and left. No thank you or have a great rest of your evening. She was very polite and friendly to the other tables but not to us.

Usually we have had great service and experience. Been going to this Applebees since I was kid too.

We just went there for Mother's Day and had a great experience. However, tonight I went in with my family and was completely ignored by the server. The hostess was great and sat us quickly. We sat there for 10 minutes waiting for the server. A couple was sat right across from us after us and the server went right up to them within a minute to take their order. I was going to give her another chance but then she went up and took a 4 tops order that sat down after us as well. So we got up and left and let the hostess know what happened and took our business elsewhere. Definitely won't be back there for awhile.

The Applebee's was clean and staff friendly. Food came fast & hot! The way it should! Would recommend for lunch or dinner!

Very disappointed! We ordered 3 different appetizers to share during the happy hour along with a bar drink and a dinner. Drink arrived after the appetizers, actually had to remind the server. Then when the bill came, didn't get happy hour pricing on the appetizers so asked server. Was told that mgmt was now enforcing happy hour items in the bar seating area only. No signs to that posted. Not mentioned when hostess did the seating. I feel server neglected to tell us this when ordering when I mentioned happy hour items. Nevermind that we sat at exact same table the week before and had been able to get the deal. Would have ordered another dinner instead of the appetizers for the pricing.

I hope the cleanness of the bathroom in this place doesn’t reflect the kitchen. The last 3 time I’ve been in the Santa Maria Applebees, the men’s bathroom is very nasty. To me this is a reflection of the lack of management.

Limited gluten free selections, but items are marked on the menu with "gs" gluten sensitivity.
