Aquatic Warehouse reviews
13Decent selection with some discounts when buying multiple fish. Very personable, helpful staff. Most tanks seemed mislabeled, but pretty typical for a Tropical Fish Store - just annoying.
Very knowledgeable and helpful staff willing to work with beginners like myself. I don't know how, but they seem to always have more stock of hard-to-find fish than the big box stores.
These guys are dope! Been constructing a custom Paludarium and they have been very helpful with the aquarium aspect of it. Never felt like I am being up sold or misguided. Very informative and can fill in questions that the internet does not provide.
I have been a customer at this aquarium store due to its proximity to my home (a three minute drive away). However, after several negative experiences, I will no longer be returning to the store despite having spent approximately $3,000 on setting up four freshwater aquariums.
One of the first issues I encountered was with the purchase of a primary Sentia doser and three secondary Sentia dosers (totaling $500). Upon installation with my brother-in-law, the three secondary units malfunctioned upon being plugged in. I returned to the store the same day to request an exchange and was made to feel uncomfortable by the staff, who repeatedly claimed that they had never encountered this problem before and insinuated that I was at fault for the malfunction. After testing the faulty units, they provided me with new ones that arrived three weeks later.
While I was willing to move past this incident, subsequent purchases also resulted in disappointment. For example, I purchased a CO2 system with a solenoid and ADA products, which functioned properly. However, when I later bought a Fluval nano light and a Sicce wavemaker, the wavemaker produced an excessively loud hum, unlike my larger Jebao wavemaker and Fluval Sea CP1, which were both silent. Additionally, the Fluval Nano did not provide sufficient light for my 15-gallon column tank, resulting in inadequate lighting for the plants at the bottom. When I returned to the store to request a return or exchange, I was told that they do not accept returns, even for defective items like the wavemaker. They offered to take back the wavemaker because they believed they could resell it at full price but would charge a 15% restocking fee for the Fluval Nano. Given the lack of research on my part with the Fluval Nano, I decided to keep it but was told by the staff that they intended to resell the wavemaker, implying that I was being overly picky about the noise issue.
These policies and the negative interactions with the staff have caused me to seek out other stores with more favorable policies. While some of the employees at this store are friendly, the policies and comments made by the staff have led me to take my business elsewhere.
My puppy urinated on the waterproof mat so they have back there and the owner got really upset he was rude
Today was a great trip here. There is so much useful info and hands-on help I got what I needed and then some more.
If you are looking or planning to start in a aquatic hobby, this place is for you. Lots of variety of fish from fresh and salt water fish. Also aquatic plants. Friendly staff always ask for assistance. This place is awesome!
These guys know their stuff and the prices are good even compared to online stores.
Always a great selection of salt water fish and supplies
Ho man this girl in the front Is very good and she goes above and beyond for the customer cuddos to her and the guys of course.
Great place for everything you need aquatic. I've been going here for eons. They always have inventory and knowledgeable helpful staff
They have everything that you could possibly need. Only place in the San Diego area with Neptune Apex equipment. They are now selling all Red Sea products as well. They currently have roller mats in stock.
Been my goto LFS for almost 15 years now. Would rather get a more personal experience than shop online. Prices are what's to be expected from a quality fish store. Never had any issues with the products and pets AW supplies.
One of the best fish stores I've ever been to. They have lots of healthy fish and they truly care about the wellbeing of the fishes and corals
