Any place owned by the workers, I’m all in. The ginger cake is Awesome. $2 a slice and $9 for the loaf. I usually get a piece to share with the unhoused or bring home to share. The pizza is top in the area, compares to Cheese Board and Sliver. The coffee is fine, but could be sourced from a new location.

I don't explore anymore to find the good pizza place. Arizmendi is my favorite. Theirs are chewy and tasty, not to mention the just right amount of salts. Good personnels too.

One of the best local bakeries (or one of the best bakeries, period!) Get there early before it’s all sold out. There’s usually long lines. Try everything! Delicious, fresh, feels like homemade. Great selection. Helpful staff.

Try this place! I grew up coming here and whenever I’m showing someone around the area this place makes the list. While everything on the menu is fantastic, the pizza is a special treat. During covid they are only doing take out, and there’s usually a line out the door.

Super fun little Bakery. One kind of pizza per day which removes any decision stress. Amazing pizza and very quick, friendly service. Definitely recommend especially if you are indecisive.

Baked goods are phenomenal. We have only been a couple times but we have never left disappointed. The pizza is absolutely delicious as well. The bakery wall has a slew of options that all look excellent.

One thing to note is it isn't an artisanal coffee shop with baked goods on the side (as many places around here are). It's baked goods first, coffee second. There isn't anything wrong with the coffee but the selection is limited and the espresso isn't quite as good as some of the other great coffee focused establishments around.

Overall, a must-visit if you're in the area and need to grab some lunch or some breakfast bakery.

They sell just the vegetarian pizzas and they are the best. I've seen pizza stores in the city of San Francisco with all those fancy reviews but no good taste. This is the place with less reviews but best taste even its all vegetarian. I like everything in this place except the long wait lines.

I've never had a bad experience. The pizza of the day is always a nice surprise! The pastries are yummy. Great with a cup of coffee or tea

So disappointed in the way they treated a young mom and her boy. Used to love this coop. Never will step foot in one again.

I noticed today that Arizmendi is starting to sell day old or defrosted muffins without advising customers. I bought a blueberry muffin today at 11: am and it was stale and cold, obviously not made today. If this continues, I'll be going elsewhere.

I just bit into a cherry pistachio scone I got at Arizmendi yesterday. I felt something hard as I am was eating it. Way harder than a pistachio. What I got was a pebble. A pebble. I usually love Arizmendi, but I’m a bit shocked. Don’t get the cherry pistachio scones! For the love of gawd!

I have been patronizing this co-op for many years. They are consistent! The sweet sally have been a signature for my home and they are the same as the first time I tried it over a decade ago. Soups are delicious, pastries are unmatched, and pizzas, well, who knew lemon could be a topping. The menu rotates weekly and I've always had something tasty.

We get it, California, you like sourdough. But sourdough croissants? No. Literally everything here is sourdough. Every. Item. I am constantly on the search for fresh baked bread, but no options other than sourdough here, and always a long line. Pizzas are pure oil. Chocolate Chip cookies are decent.

Arizmendi is like my favorite Uncle.consistent, high quality and not for everybody. Been eating at Arizmendi since 1998 and they never disappoint. If you want meat everything or the same pizza everytime then push on to LaneSplitter or Forge. This spot creates seasonal Vegetarian pizzas and a growing number of bakery options. Order a Hot or Light bake and consider adding more veggies to your diet.as long as they are covered in Oil and Parmesan!

Arizmendi Bakery has been one of my favorite bakeries to frequent since living in Oakland. It is a cooperative business—anotherwords, run by the people that work there.

They are very Covid minded. You line up outside the store front. You can look into the storefront window to see what pastries are available. When you get to the head of the line there is a list on the door telling you what pizza and soup is available for the day. The cookies were bundled together for easier buying.

There were 2 people working the front of the store—one taking the order and money, and the other person getting it and bagging for you.

Their baked goods are fresh and delicious! I have always scarfed down their vegetarien soup and pizza with gusto. Their prices are reasonable.

They look like they are succussful during the pandemic, and I am happy to see that. There are many businesses very close by that haven't been able to make it.

This place I don't go to often but I've known this place since I was a kid and honestly they have the best vegetarian pizza I've ever tried. And they have different flavors every day!

Good food but things are different due to the pandemic. Good pizza! Keep the crust thin, it's getting a bit thick! The light bake is great, when you get home its fresh! Keep it tight and clean and find a way to keep the flies out or controlled, not a good look and it's not sanitary.

I've never been dissapointed coming here! If you love a good crusty sourdough like me, then you must try Arizmendi! I'll confess it's not the best SD loaf I've had but pretty close to it and only because the Bay Area has too many choices which make the SD competition stiff here. They do, however, make the best heavenly sourdough pizza on earth and offer a delicious daily vegetarian soup that will leave you with a very difficult choice to make.

As for the baked goodies, the almond flour brownie is the best brownie I've ever had and it's gluten free!? ! But don't let that keep you from trying it. I couldn't't believe I actually found a GF item I like. Even my kids approve! Unfortunately, the Lakeshore location is the only one selling it but don't worry any pastry at Arizmendi is great. Croissants are flaky and buttery, cookies are chewy and fresh. You can't go wrong with Arizmendi on any given day.

I absolutely love the customer service and the natural food i eat from here and thank GODNESS for not feel fat or bloated after I eat their great blueberry muffins. And daddy the fact that they donate to Laney college is absolutely breath taking. I just found this out, good job

It was a quick and organized pizza retrieval pandemic was. Expensive pies. Not anything to write home about as far as flavor bursting. The crust was pretty good but it was so greasy I just held it out over the ground and watched it drip for a while before I ate it. If you're a fan. You'll love it.
