Arizmendi Bakery reviews
20Great bakery to check out. We got a variety of things ranging from a muffin to some rolls. Everything was great and it was just a neat little shop. They even serve pizza!
We accidentally found this bakery on our way and bought a walnut bread which is awesome. The texture and taste is great. We will definitely come back and try their scones and other types of bread.
Mmmmm, mmmmm good. I love the smells of freshly brewed coffee and freshly baked pastry; and will you believe it, right in the heart of the Mission! What it lacks in accommodation (tables to sit and enjoy), it more than makes up with friendly, efficiency and great prices too. Love it! #TheBrokerWithAHeart. @The Broker With A Heart on #TheStreetsOfSanFrancisco.
Yummy.the sights, the sounds, the aromas, oh the bread; the only thing missing was a comfortable place to enjoy it, and you. If you enjoy a freshly made pastry with a hot cup of joe, come be delighted - in the heart of the Mission. #TheBrokerWithAHeart @The Broker With A Heart.
Quality, affordable baked goods made fresh daily. The fruit of the day scone, oat scone, and cowgirl cookie are my go tos, but the rotating flavors of shortbread and "chocolate thing" are always fun, too.
Pizza is always bomb but sometimes they do weird flavors like potato or corn. I know they’re vegetarian but man, I’d love one of their pizzas with pepperoni…
I am a costumer at Arizmendi for years but recently I have experienced some changes in the quality of their bread. First, some days the bread I buy is much smaller than the size they used to be and today I bought a Kalamata bread that almost had no Olives in it. Is this a post pandemic way to not increase price but make the ends meet? On my visit today I noticed a man who was ahead of me picking (choosing) his muffins using his bare hands. Now at the Valencia location, you can choose your products and go to the cashier to pay for and people are not using the sleeves provided. I mentioned that to the cashier but I am not sure I was heard.
This hole in the wall of a bakery in the Mission has some of the best pizza and pastries I’ve had in a while. There were a ton of different vegan options as well. The pizza here changed every day and the combinations are some of the most inventive I’ve had. When I came, the pizza of the day had tomatoes, Arugula, queso fresco, mozzarella, and salsa verde and it was delicious. The pizza slices are pretty hot when you get them but they’re so so good. There’s a huge list of pastries you could get and it’s fun to sample a bunch of them with friends or family. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for pizza and/or baked goods.
This bakery is fantastic the top of making fresh pizza on a daily basis in their pastries in their cookies and they’re Fogata in there I can go on and on some of the stuff has only natural ingredients is in some of the stuff doesn’t have natural ingredients does the croissants there are all chocolate things their bread everything is just wonderful you got to try it you won’t regret it take care
From daily changing pizza, to pastries and espresso drinks, Arizmendi has the items to please and draw you back again and again.
In my opinion the best deal for pizza in the city. Always fresh, delicious and inventive (note: veg only) at a great price
The raspberry millet muffin is the only reason I get outta bed in the morning
BUT fix the lids on your coffee cups they spill every time I don’t know why
Wow.their scone of the day is the best! Not the typical stuffy scone that I ve tried before. Their coffee is a must too! They use pretty good coffee beans which is tastes medium roasted and fruity.
Best co-op bakery around. Love the walnut bread and various scones. Also have holiday treats that can be ordered ahead. Strictly vegetarian, some items vegan. Also pizza slices and coffee drinks. Cannot really go wrong.
The people are REALLY cool, but the pizza not so much. If they weren’t so cool, I’d prolly give this 2 stars. The pizza just didn’t taste fresh or hot and the crust just wasn’t good (maybe they don’t stay fully staffed or something. Not sure). Do NOT recommend. This won’t happen to you at Lakeshore Arizmendi or maybe even Emeryville. I would not go back to the Valencia spot again and will stick to the fresh baked pizza experience in Oakland. I’ve never been disappointed in the quality there.
One of the best bakeries in the city. Instead of just providing standard french stuff, they experiment with many types of sourdough bread with many types of fillings. Also great pizza, cookies etc.
Try the vegan chocolate mint cookie, it is addictive. Also prices are very reasonable and very short line so no need to wait for getting your food.
I go there every week!
I was walking by and stopped for the incredible smell. I said “whatever I’m smelling is what I want. ” It was the pizza. I went a Michelin star restaurant during my SF trip and if I had to pick which to have one again, it would be this pizza slice. Roasted brussel sprouts, red onion, toasted walnut, goat cheese, mozzarella, and balsamic vinaigrette. It was heavenly.
Everything I've had here has been delicious! I love their breads. I especially love their bialys and focaccia. Right now they are providing service at the door/window. There is seating outside.
I love Arizmendi. Like, deeply. Whenever I pop in for a par-baked pizza of the day, scone or chocolate thingy I know it's going to be a good day! Arizmendi takes pride in their baked goods, always has an interesting pizza to try and puts unbridled joy in my heart! Go check them out at any of their locations.
Great neighborhood spot for coffee, bread & pastries. The pizza is also AMAZING. Many vegan & gluten free options—but don’t worry, it’s all delicious! You won’t miss the gluten or butter. Everything is also vegetarian.
Lastly famous for their pizza which is incredible.
