Armando's Mexican Food reviews
17Best little place with the best Mexican food in the area, often come here from one hour away to get the Shrimp Burrito that I can’t find nowhere else.
Never go here because my mom get a $76 dollar order and the female cashier took down the moms card number and used it to give herself a tip.
Well, I bought 2 shrimp burritos, they were good, but the reason why I didn't come back here is because I saw that they don't clean the shrimp, they don't open them to clean them, they make them with their guts and everything, and I don't like that, that's the reason for my displeasure.
Worst ever Mexican food I had in San Diego. They could not change the meat in tacos. The chicken was so dry and burrito was so oily. Not worth the money spent.
Good prices and good service but worst breakfast burrito I ever had. Basically a Mush ball of mushy potatoes with one or two over cooked eggs and a piece of bacon mixed in.
Good food fast service and good food portions at a good price i got 12 rolled taquitos with cheese and guacomole for $12.75 plus tax
07/23' - 1st time here on Friday night. Friendly service and awesome food. Took order togo as the sit down dining option for us adults and 2 toddler kids weren't the greatest option (you will know what I mean when you go there). Outside area has a homeless scenario that needs to be addressed. Carne asada fries were muy fuego, highly recommended. Bean & cheese burrito was also delight, it was real smooth refried beans. I will be back during my outings!
Their shredded beef tacos and chile verde are my go-to's here.
The tacos are your traditional expectations of a good old-fashioned taco shop staple. The perfect combination with the crunch of the taco shell, the crisp lettuce, cheese, and an extremely packed portion of flavorful shredded beef. Add their red hot sauce to your taco and you are in heaven!
The chile verde here is SO good. Not super fatty, which is often a turn off for me. It had a perfect spicy heat level which I love it when it's hot. The tangy tomatillo, garlic, and chile combination along with the meat makes this a great plate or burrito. This is a must try.
Was in the area for work and stopped here. I have to say the food was delicious with a lot of flavor. I got the carne asada fries and the serving amount was really big and service was fast.
The person at the restaurant window as well as the employees were very attentive in their service. They don't have drive thru service.
Whenever I go at 10pm they say they are cleaning the fryer and I have to wait 20 minutes they are supposed to close at 11pm when they close
The nachos were good but make sure to ask what kind you want because they charge extra for beans, cream, etc
I was just passing by on the freeway and figured I would check it out. Very impressed! I got the #11 combination plate which had a taco and a beef burrito, I paid an extra $1 to have the burrito with carne asada. The food came out super fast and it was hot and fresh, the taco was huge and had carnitas that was some of the best carnitas I have ever had. Tortilla could have been home made, I didn’t ask but it definitely tasted fresh. Beans and rice were flavorful. Burrito was mostly meat which I like. Service was fast and friendly and the place was clean, health inspector has given them an “A” in the window so made me feel good. The portion for the price was incredible, my $13 meal could prob feed 2 people. Highly recommend! A real gem
It's a pretty standard Mexican taco shop, the Carne asada breakfast burrito I had was good enough, but not excellent.
My beef taco was the second worst I've ever had and this includes Mexican food in the Midwest.
It is almost like they used canned meat, heated it up in a big clump and stuck it in a shell. The only thing shredded about the beef was the fact that it shredded common sense about how to prepare taco meat. Something else, it didn't have as much lettuce and veggies inside the shell like competitors down the freeway.
Nothing says "don't eat here ever again" like that taco did. I regret not going to Alberto's down the street.
I went in the evening and also experienced four homeless people milling about their enclosed outdoor dining area, inspiring me to return to my car just about the same time Oceanside police pulled up and stopped behind my car while dealing with some riffraff not inside their dining area.
Nice small place. Great food. Price is low a lot of food. Still the best food on the go always fast Lots of food for what you PAY. Still cheap and clean Good cheap food Lots of food.
