Armstrong Garden Centers, Sherman Oaks CA

Just back from my first visit to this garden centre. It was a hot day but the staff were very happy to give their time and go outside. Very helpful with suggestions and very knowledgable.

Great place with lots of plants. Very cordial, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We did our yard with many plants from here.

Staff was terrible. Not very knowledgeable, not helpful at all, and totally ignored me when I tried to check out. I ended up ditching my purchases and going to the Glendale Armstrong instead.

Audrey and Manny were very helpful. Manny explained what potting mix i should use for growing vegetables in a container. I want to say thank you for helping me. The cashier was also helpful. They all had wonderful attitudes, willingness to help and a warm morning smile. This is why customers come back to your establishment.

We've always had a pleasant experience at the Sherman Oaks location. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable and don't seem to mind answering my (sometimes) basic questions. Because of the friendly demeanor and fabulous quality of plants, my home is basically furnished by Armstrong Gardens. 40 houseplants going strong!

Go here all the time. Great, and healthy, selection. Helpful employees and landscape specialists.

You can find any kind of plant you can think of. A lil bit on the expensive side, but worth it,

I started coming to the Sherman Oaks location during the pandemic and the tall cashier girl with glasses was so smart about tomatoes and even about keeping chickens! I’ve had such good luck with the tomatoes she recommended, and I think we may even try chickens now that the yard is ready. We will definitely have to ask her all about how to start and what baby chicks need. She is so sweet and helpful. I hope Armstrong has all the stuff for making a nice run! I am definitely getting more kinds of tomatoes when they come in a few weeks!
I hope she doesn’t leave when she graduates, she explained about good mushrooms and how they help the soil and said it was part of her college project. I will be in later when the dwarf fig trees she told me about look better. The ones you had were still dormant and she reassured me that hers was too, but I want to be sure!

The parking lot here is a gauntlet of Mercedes and Lexus backing out without looking but when I went in on 2/10, Jill was super helpful and knowledgable about plants I needed and gave me great suggestions for my garden. They get 5 stars, the parking lot does not.
