Great recruiting center, got recruited from there. They were very informational and helpful. SSGT. Kong was the one who recruited me and helped lose the weight I needed to join the army.

SSG Naval has gone above expectations for getting me enlisted. Can’t thank him and the rest of the NCOs here for their hard work

Absolutely terrible recruiters. I was 17 when I first wanted to enlist and after two years and scoring 60 on the asvab all they could offer me was combat related MOSes. Some recruiters will not give you the complete list of jobs you qualify for and some will drag their feet to get you on board. I had 3 recruiters here and it took 2 years to go to meps.

They did great at helping me, as soon as I was DQ they ghosted me worst than a blind date. I keep getting calls from recruiters saying they did my paperwork wrong but at this point it don’t even matter y’all get 2 since I had to do my own research on my dq while y’all just told me to “write to congress”

Sergeant Tayawa helped me immensely throughout the whole recruitment process. He was straightforward and didn’t make any false promises or mislead me in any way, he made sure I knew what I was getting into as well as the benefits of joining the Army. He even helped me to find a better job than what I initially joined for, so that not only helped me feel better about employment outside of the Army, it gave me more pride to be doing the job I’m doing as of now. I highly recommend SSG Tayawa if you’re thinking of joining the Army, he’s a great recruiter and will assist you in anything within his power.

I enlisted 6 months ago and finally graduated as an MP (31B). All thanks to SSG Tayawa; he allowed me to turn my dreams into reality and has been so helpful. Along with himself, are other amazing recruiters who will do any and everything in their power to ensure that you are successful. This is hands down the best recruiting office in Long Beach.

Everyone at the office is super nice and they really helped me lose the weight I needed to lose in order to enlist and figure out what I want to do with my military career. SGT Buchanan was my recruiter and was very supportive of me and helped me stay on track with losing that weight. I drove out to Long Beach instead of staying in my area for recruitment offices because everyone here was nicer and isn’t the stereotype of the lying recruiter. They’ll be straight up with you and won’t feed you lies just to get you to sign.

SSG Tayawa helped me throughout my process. At first, I was having some hesitations coz I thought joining is going to be really difficult. My recruiter explained to me everything. If you are thinking of joining I recommend SSG Tayawa.

Going in as prior service, SGT Buchanan and SFC Cintron was able to assist me from moving forward in my career. I highly recommend Long Beach Career Center to anyone including some of my own Soldiers. Thank you for your honesty, your assistance and as well as your guidance.

They are professional, truthful and will help you all the way on the process of becoming a SOLDIER!
They have recruiters that speak Spanish, Korean and Tagalog.

I walked into the Army recruiting office as a complete stranger excepting an unfeeling paper work process, and instead received an extremely friendly welcoming faces. Too name a few Sargent Kong, Sargent Romero, Sargent Cintron, Sargent Wingfield. Thanks looking out for me.

If you're thinking of joining the Army I'd recommend the Long Beach branch. Everyone here is so helpful and you really feel as if you're a part of the team. My recruiter SSG Tayawa was very helpful and patient as I had to lose some weight to meet the height and weight requirements. Now I'm enlisted and leaving for basic training in a couple of weeks!
