Kaz is one of the best hair stylists I've booked with. He truly listens to my requirements and delivered the look I have in mind. I only had a haircut and he even went the extra mile and taught me how to style my hair in the daily routine. I absolutely put my trust in him. Strongly recommended.

Since moving to the bay, I haven’t been able to find a stylist as skillful as Kaz. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a haircut.

There is an insane stylist who talks about infidelity and cheating to brides who are about to get married. This review is based on facts when used in May 2023.
I asked her to do my hair early in the morning for my wedding. I am very grateful to you for opening the store at 7 a.m. And responding to my request.

It was my wedding day, and I was the bride. While my hair stylist was getting my hair done, he kept telling me some very malicious and stupid rumors about who was having an affair in the Japanese expatriate community. My language was very bad and I felt really bad.
I really couldn't believe that such nonsense and unlucky gossip would be told to a bride who was about to go to a wedding. Also, since I'm not an expatriate, I have no interest in gossip within the community. As an adult, I responded with a smile, but this was my first experience like this. Even now, when I think about this day, I feel sad and sad that my wedding was ruined.
She was so engrossed in gossip that she didn't check with me while she was getting my hair done, so the result wasn't very good and it fell apart after an hour. I was sad that my hair style was outdated and that I could do it myself.

I won't mention the hairstylist's name, but I think it's completely unprofessional to have employees who spread childish gossip to customers and talk about bad luck to customers who are about to get married. If you are a Japanese person who is thinking of using it from now on, you should think again. If you're going, don't talk about yourself. I'll spread the word to other customers.

Absolutely unprofessional. They did my hair for my wedding. They were willing to open at 7am just for me so I was very thankful for that.

So, it was my wedding day. The hairstylist kept talking about who is cheating with who and who is having affair with who in the Japanese community. I'm not writing the name of the stylist, but seriously this person ruined my wedding. Very negative vibe. Who wants to talk about cheating and affair with a bride to be on the wedding day? Unbelievably unprofessional. The outcome was horrible too. The stylist's overall skill level wasn't there. I could do the same hair style by myself. I really regret that I chose this place for my wedding hair-do. The experience I had with this hair salon on my wedding day still makes me so sad.

If you speak Japanese and if you want to stay away from all the gossips around the Japanese community, this place is not for you. There is a huge gossiper in this hair salon. Be careful not to talk much about yourself. This person can spread your rumor to other customers just like he/she did to me.

My friend recommended this hair salon to me. I did the hair straightening here and really like my hair and enjoy the services in this hair salon. Kaz is my hair stylist, who is very professional and carefully discuss my demands with me. The salon is very cozy and neat. I‘ll recommend Kaz and Arukas to my other friends too.

Yesterday, I had my hair cut by KAZ. She cut my hair according to the style I wanted and the one that suited me. I am grateful that my hair was dyed so well. My husband and others around me have responded well, and I like it very much, so I plan to order from KAZ again next time.

I had a haircut with Yoshiko! She took her time to let me know her recommendations on what would work with my hair type which I appreciate. I got some nice layers and curtain bangs.

Since I was recommended this place & stylist by a friend, I always make sure I book with Kaz. When I first gotten my haircut with Kaz, I knew I could put my trust in him. He helped me figure out exactly what would work best with my hair and face shape so this time I decided to get my first ever perm. Again, he took the time to recommend styles that would go best with my face shape and throughout the process makes sure I like the style. He is very kind and patient and fun to talk to and of course, very talented!

I had a haircut by Kaz twice and he was so good at hair cutting. I’m very satisfied with the results. The place is calm and cozy, service is good. It’ll become my go-to place.

Tried both Kaz and Wataru, both are great! Very hard to find a stylist that can work well with my hair. Both are very experienced and know how to style Asian hair.

I had a haircut and highlights done by Kaz today, and it turned out amazing! I was very impressed. Kaz is so professional and friendly and styled my haircut to frame my face. He also picked a color that was a perfect match for my skin tone. I like how he is so detailed and checks with you every step of the way to make sure you are satisfied. The head massage was a plus too! I will definitely be coming back.

I really like Kaz's work. He has the magic touch and he always makes me look younger and cuter after he styles and cuts my hair.

Highlights recommend this place. Staffs are super friendly and very professional. Yoshiko was very professional and designed my hair.

I’ve been coming to Arukas for haircut and coloring for a year from Kaz. He keeps my short hair in a good shape and it’s very easy to maintain on my own. He also recommends the color that fits me very well.

This is my first time visiting Arukus and I am so happy I did! Got a hair cut from Kaz and he was good! He would pause here and there to make sure everything looks good. Even though I was late, he was patient and still provided really good service.

I went to ARUKAS several times, there are couple few good hair stylist, but also some others are unprofessional. There’s one time that the hair stylist I was assigned seems very rush, and didn’t even make any cuts/change to my hair except bank, and still charge a lot! I think the service is very up to the stylist you are assigned, and it is very random. Considering their price, I will try other places next time.

I'm so happy with my haircut. My hair is thick and dense, but Wataru always suggests the best haircut. Usually, I need to do a hair-strengthening treatment to keep my hair down, but with my new haircut, I can keep it natural and down when I want. Got a lot of compliments. Thanks, Wataru-san!

Got a hime cut from Yoshiko. She is very good! I’m satisfied with the outcome. She gave really good suggestions!

I wanted to do Perm but Wataru was very considerate of my hair condition and suggested not pushing for it. I got haircut instead from him instead and loved it!

Nice staff and nice service. But for the hair cut, I’m super disappointed. I told the stylist multiple times about my needs, the length I wanted, even showed the pictures but apparently he did the opposite thing. They seemed to listen but not really. Now I can’t go out because I’m too shamed of my hair and because it’s too short I can’t even find another place to fix it.
