I have been going to this place for years. I generally like it but am really frustrated that they stopped offering soy milk in their drinks!

Asha tea house is lovely! The whole atmosphere is so lovingly crafted and I didn't want to leave one bit. The matcha is good. It's a tad bitter but I tend to enjoy a more bitter matcha so it's ok. Would highly recommend!

The best bubble tea around. I'm an avid bubble tea drinker, and Asha is the best you can find. Skipping the powders, Asha makes their tea from, well, real brewed tea. You can add boba, as well as fruit purees, to enhance or vary flavors to your preference. If you need a go-to boba spot (or a place for excellent, loose-leaf) this is the place for you.

I've been here just a few times, and the drinks have been just been subpar. It's great that they have a big menu that caters to most people, but their matcha is just okay at best. But unfortunately that wasn't my experience, their matcha lattes tastes like "latte matcha" just not good. The service here I knocked it down because they accidentally made a mistake which is fine, people make mistakes all the time in this business, they remade the drink, but the staff looked so reluctant to make it, when talking to him, it almost made me feel like I was in the wrong. If you're a tea lover, I would look elsewhere.

I love Asha. Im only giving it a 4 because the woman w the braid, who happened to be training the sweet young lady at the register, was very rude to me when I asked a simple question.not so pleasant to the trainee either. Customer service means everything to me and if you are not happy at work- uh get another job. No one wants that bad energy- not at Asha!

I've had a matcha latte in the past that was well done, but the boba they served up today was about as lackluster as it comes. Insipid, undersized, tasting like a dreary day looks.

Stopped by this cool spot for boba drinks! I was so impressed by the Matcha Latte. Definitely, recommend this place the next time when you are in Berkeley.

Asha Teahouse is one of my favorite places to go for quality tea + boba. The menu is limited but it doesn't bother me because they really focus on giving you a quality product that doesn't mask the tea.

Seating was very limited. It felt like a study/work space so I wouldn't recommend it for big groups looking to socialize in the cafe.

The HK coffee milk tea tried to be elevated but ended up being a coffee with sugar and milk. Was just craving that authentic taste of a Yingyang milk tea so got disappointed.

Go-to drink is Oolong or Matcha latte with extra boba. Not too sweet, light, refreshing.
They make good matcha cookies and macaroons too

Decided to try out Asha Tea House, since I was in the Berkeley area wanted to try some boba out!

I ordered the matcha fresco. It is supposedly lightly sweetened, but I didn't really taste much sweetness, even with the boba added. The matcha tea flavor was also just ok, a bit watered down. The boba texture, though, was cooked well.

I definitely have had better matcha boba elsewhere. And, it is pretty pricey for $7 for the cup. Again, tasted watered down with not much matcha taste either.

Ambience of the store was nice. It was a bit of a pain getting the straw into the cup top. It is not the normal stab through top. It is a small flap, and just poorly designed, so a lot spilled out. Would recommend changing the cap top as well.

Street parking available.

Pricey food/drinks but nice environment.had the matcha cookie and honestly didn’t like it because there was a heavy sesame taste and a lot of other things (oats?) mixed in it, didn’t taste a whole lot like matcha
also big downside: NO WIFI.: (

Matcha pineapple was light and fresh, I like how no sugar actually meant no sugar, including the toppings, which weren't sweetened.
