I have tried several acupuncture places in Orange County. In my opinion, the overall best is definitely Doctor Jiyeon Park at Asiana Wellness. I would say the main reasons why she's the best comes down to these reasons:

1) A mix of classic acupuncture with modern technology.

The four to five star acupuncture places generally know where to apply the needles. A few of them sometimes use cupping and gua sha but at a higher price. Doctor Park does all of these, but does not charge extra. She will add it to your experience free of charge if she thinks it's needed. However, she also has even more modern technology. First of all, for her cupping, it actually had some little bit of electric stimulation, so it's kind of doing double the work relaxing the muscles. As someone who came in due to hand pain from computer overuse, she actually has this really cool machine that does muscle joint acupressure massage on both of your hands at the same time. When it's done, you will see a bunch of small marks on your hand, but that just means it was doing proper acupressure. These should go away within like 30 minutes.

2) Flexible scheduling and payments

For some reason, many medical places, including acupuncture, don't have ways to schedule appointments online. As someone who loves the convenience of this, I'm very appreciative of Doctor Park having this through our website. However, if there is a time that you want not available, Doctor Park actually allows you to text message her, see if you want an earlier time than usual, or just to see if there's a small opening. My Insurance Covers acupuncture. However, I've had experiences at other acupuncture places where I've had to pay kind of high copays, or worse, I had to pay more than I was supposed to due to a miscommunication. However, with Doctor Park, I never had issues with my insurance or payments. She was pretty good at keeping track of if my deductible was met and making sure my copays were as low as possible. She was also very communicative whenever I went to the office if I needed to actually pay anything.

3) Alexa

Other reviewers have mentioned it already, but one of the absolute coolest things about this place is that Doctor Park has an Alexa Device in both of her treatment rooms. That means you are allowed to listen to any music or podcast that's on Amazon while you're laying down in bed for 30 plus minutes. Alexa allows any voice to command it what to play, so feel free to have fun. While other acupuncture places have kinda calming background music, it's nice to be able to pick whatever I want while I'm getting treatment.

4) Good at working multiple parts of the body

As someone who has tight muscles all throughout my whole body, including my neck, shoulders, arms, chest, low back, hamstrings, calves, etc. Doctor Park is very efficient at covering many of these places at once. But more specifically, I like the way she recommends you come in at least twice a week, with one day she'll focus with areas while you’re face up on the bed and the other while you’re face down.

5) She listens to you!

So at most acupuncture places I try, many times When they take a look at your patient intake form and the areas you're hurting the most, they just kind of take a guess at where to poke the needles on you and don't even always cover the places that hurt the most. I'm sure that works for some people, but as someone who actually has a lot of different muscle tightness and aches and even numbness and tingling, the other places I have tried tended to prioritize at the wrong places. However, not only is doctor park good at figuring out where to focus on, if you have any particular requests to focus on, even when you're walking in, she'll happily update her treatment to account for the issues you are feeling that day.

Most incredible acupuncture service. I am a cancer patient that needs both western and eastern wellness. This place was recommended and now I know why. Very professional yet cozy and relaxed feeling. I'm going to do all my sessions here!

I have been seeing Dr. Park now for almost two years. She has helped me with a variety symptoms- most of which have been stress-related- including tension headaches and TMJ. Recently, she has become one of my go-to people in helping with my fertility journey. Regardless of the symptoms I come in with, I always walk out feeling a thousand times better. Whether it is from the acupuncture itself or her healing nature, I am not sure. What I do know is that she is now an integral part of my holistic healing and I feel so grateful to have found her.

Dr. Park is fantastic! I recently moved to Orange County and was looking for an acupuncturist to help with headaches and pregnancy-related symptoms. Dr. Park is an exceptional listener and is incredibly thorough and organized. She assesses my symptoms each visit and attenuates the treatment based on what's bothering me most. In so doing, she documents my symptoms and tracks them over time, which I really appreciate. My headaches and other symptoms are under control now. I highly recommend Dr. Park to anyone in the area!

I'm 34 years old. I am so fortunate that I found Dr Park, I have been seeing her for over 2 years now. I started seeing Dr. Park because I was experiencing very bad PMS, UTIs and headaches. Dr. Park is exceptionally caring, sanitary, and EFFECTIVE. I was briefly in town for a fertility procedure, and I was referred to Dr. Park by my acupuncturist back home in Chicago. Dr. Park is a certified FABORM (fellow of the American Board of Reproductive Medicine), so I was fortunate to find her. From the moment I contacted her, she was very responsive and accommodating to my scheduling needs since I would be in town for only a few days and for such a time sensitive procedure. She sincerely wanted to help me. I had plenty of acupuncture experiences in my lifetime (as I am a provider in a clinic with exceptional acupuncturists), and I can verify that Dr. Park's approach is excellent and intuitive. She uses evidence-based techniques, is highly knowledgeable about the intricacies of fertility cycles, and shares her wealth of nutritional knowledge surrounding fertility cycles. When enduring fertility processes, you want to do everything in your power to optimize the results of the procedure. She provided me with lists of foods to consume over the following days and weeks along with other supplemental advice. She treated me only 2 consecutive days leading up to the procedure, and I can honestly say I felt very confident in her effectiveness during and immediately after her procedures. After 2.5 years of trying various fertility procedures I am finally pregnant! Despite years of disappointing results, I knew I was in great hands and had a feeling her treatments made the difference. She is brilliant in Chinese medicine and also encompasses a strong understanding of the medical side. It's comforting when you don't have to choose between Eastern and Western medicine. (In fact, I believe her husband is an obstetrician). Further, Dr. Park is perhaps the most sanitary acupuncturist I've ever met. She wore a mask and gloves (atypical for any of the acupuncturists I've ever met), and she used a cotton swab to remove the needles to avoid any unnecessary contact. (This was PRIOR to having any known cases of COVID in the U. S!) I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Under Dr. Park's care, my recurring and persistent migraines seem to be a thing of the past. I have struggled with this condition most of my life-decades, really-and seen many, many doctors. My sumitriptan usage had become unsustainable, and the next-step "traditional" medicine treatment options came with unreasonable risks and questionable rewards. Patients choosing to work with Dr. Park will find a kind and focused approach to their care by someone who is a knowledgeable and gifted practitioner. Since seeing Dr. Park, I have had about a 90% decline in migraine onset and a marked reduction in intensity of the few headaches I have had. I began to see my condition noticeably improve at about the 7th session. I just completed my 20th session. I am now finding myself in the odd and previously unimaginable position of learning how to live without the specter of that next migraine haunting my every moment.
Dr. Jiyeon Park's offices are about a 30-minute drive for me, but well worth the adjustment in my schedule. I cannot imagine a better choice of physician for someone ready to try acupuncture in order to address their migraine headaches.

I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Park! I suffer from Trigeminal Neuraphy and the woes that accompany it. Being new to the area I was so anxious about seeing a new Dr.for Acupunture. Dr. Park exceeded my expectations! She is so Awesome, from her excellence in her profession to her Incredible bedside manner! I am able to live with a lot less pain and No medications!

I like to make an appointment with this clinic and the doctor was so rude to answer my call. She refused to give me the address. And she asked me a lot of personal question on the phone. It is very strange to do business this way. She claimed that I have been vistited her before. Actually I do not even know the location at all. It is bezoar to refuse telling me about her office address or business. Is she doing something wrong with her practice? Why is she so scared for? I am not going to call or visit this strange place at all.

Today I took my 17 year daughter to Dr. Park at Asiana Wellness for a treatment. She was very nervous about needles but Dr. Park calmed her fears and made her feel very comfortable. And as promised, she did not feel any pain with the ultra thin needles.

Her office is located very close to Fashion Island with plenty of parking. The office is very clean and professional.

Dr. Park spend almost an hour with my daughter explaining the treatment and discussing my daughter’s symptoms. My daughter felt very comfortable and is returning next week. Thank you Dr. Park.

Dr. Park has been instrumental and key in my shingles treatment and recovery. I had internal shingles in my ear and throat, lost my hearing in my right ear and developed facial paralysis on my right side. The type of shingles I had developed was Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.

I was told that I may never regain my hearing. With great thanks to Dr. Park and her healing acupuncture treatments, I have regained my hearing and my paralysis is gone.

She has been instrumental in helping me heal through acupuncture. I am continuing to treat with her and am working on rebuilding my immune system after being placed on several antibiotics prior to diagnosis, then antivirals, and steroids.
