I received Eagle Vision LASIK from Dr. Assil.

I was extremely impressed by the professionalism and service that him and his team offer. I wore glasses and contacts for a little over 10 years and received this procedure at the age of 23. Now I get to show off my blue eyes and get to fall asleep without worrying about removing my contacts. It was worth every dollar. I wouldn’t trust any other doctor than Dr. Assil. He doesn’t just do LASIK. He performs many other surgeries. He is extremely talented and knowledgeable.

As a nurse I work 12-hour shifts back-to-back. I am able to wake up in the morning and quickly get ready. I don’t get fog in my glasses anymore, or worry my contact will pop out while I’m cycling (it’s happened). As a soon to be mother as well, I’m excited for the new memories with my perfect vision. I’m excited to see my baby’s face and be able not worry about glasses.

The only side effect I have form my surgery is dry eyes (which is common). I listened to Dr. Assil and I continue to buy preservative-free hydrating eye drops. I buy the single doses for cleanliness.

EDIT 1 month later: Just did a follow up appointment at my optometrist and my vision is 20/15 (better than 20/20). Still super happy with my results.

I was truly impressed with the depth and breadth of the examination of my vision. I expected a few simple tests and a consultation. Instead, every part of my eye was mapped and evaluated, and I feel extremely confident that the surgery (should the retinal specialist sign off after my upcoming ultrasound) will provide the best possible outcome.

Dr. Assil is my hero! He saved me after complications from a Lasik procedure in which one of my eyes developed "epithelial ingrowth", meaning sudden cell growth started to block my vision, which my original eye surgeon informed me might lead to needing a corneal transplant. Scary stuff. A friend, another eye surgeon (at Kaiser), recommended that I immediately seek out a second opinion from Dr. Assil. As soon as I walked into his office, I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Assil has a bevy of staff, all super efficient and knowledgeable. They have a checks and balance system so that nothing slips through the cracks. Under the care of Dr. Assil and his staff, who performed an "epithelial sweep", I now have perfect vision. I am forever grateful to Assil Eye Institute and recommend any and all to go to him as the first opinion!

Aaron was my first contact. He did all my preliminary tests. He is wonderful. At the end of the visit I told him I was going to go to two other practices to compare. I expected some kind of sell from him so I would choose Assil. Instead he said to me, "I'm going to talk to you like you were my brother. Go with the doctor you feel most comfortable. The doctors and staff members at Assil Eye Institute of Los Angeles are very courteous, professional, helpful and kind. They take the time to answer your questions about any of the procedures scheduled. I have been to both the Beverly Hills location and the Santa Monica location and in both locations the staff and doctors are very helpful, kind and compassionate. I highly recommend Assil Eye Institute of Los Angeles for anything eye issue that needs to be taken care of.

I came here for lasik and had an amazing experience. Dr. Sodhi Gaur Took great care of my me and explained every step of the process to me. It can feel overwhelming with all of the eye exams but Dr. Gaur keeps you informed about everything which is really helpful. The entire staff was very helpful and kind. The surgery itself was short (around 10-15 mins) but the machine that prevents your eyes from blinking can feel painful due to pressure of the suction. Aside from that, the surgery is straight forward and quick. I received thorough instructions on my post op care. The staff actually care about their patients and you feel well taken care of. Going through with lasik is a scary process, but Assil Eye institute goes above and beyond in making it a seamless experience.

Dr. Harris addressed my questions and concerns regarding the symptoms I was experiencing after Lasik. I feel reassured that my eyes are doing well, and will continue to heal as time goes by. Overall, I love the quality of care I have been receiving, and I would recommend my friends and colleagues to this office. Last but not least, Dr. Assil is awesome! Thanks to him and his staff, I am able to see crystal clear without glasses or contacts. This experience was life changing for me, and I cannot thank them enough.
