At Home Property Management, Bakersfield CA

Rented a place on Stockdale with husband in 2012, ended filing for divorce due to domestic violence & got my kids to a safer place. Told the property management about the situation & that I would be moving out. Tried to rent a place in 2021 & was told I am never to be able to rent from them due to the bad condition that he left the apartment in? I dont see how that falls on me if they acknowledge I wouldn't be living there anymore.

Don't recommend using this place. They don't follow through on the information as given. The only want to be collecting application fees and not helping anybody out

I was pretty much lied to, when I went in to ask about their requirements they said they check credit but only to see if you had evictions or any utilities bill in collections, I have none of those. But was still denied for credit! They just wanted my application fees! ZERO STARS

I went by the office and paid the money so that I could fill out the application for an apartment that they advertised was available, online through their portal.the girls gave a less than friendly reception, and when they say that they're going to call you back by a certain time and date they do not.it's my feeling that they're accepting the $35 application fees and not even processing the applications. Whether it be because they had already decided and rented the property to someone else prior to my inquiry, or because they don't even have property for rent- I am uncertain. I can just tell you that I paid them the application fee, and short of my employer getting a fax to verify my employment, NONE OF MY REFERENCES were contacted. Not via email and not via telephone not via fax.just based on the less than friendly reception that I received going in to pay the application fee, the lack of follow-through on their part, and then to find out that none of my references were contacted. I would not recommend anyone go through At Home Property Mgmt.for a rental. I have three really good references when it comes to former landlords. One of them I've rented from over 10 years total.but their loss. Because had they contacted my former landlords they would have learned that I treat the properties as though I own them. I've always left them in better condition than how I took them over. I'm the tenant that's out picking up garbage off of the front lawn and out of the gutters, etc. So, like I said, their loss.

Maribel and Reyna are awesome ladies. Their welcoming and professional from start to finish. Even though I couldn’t find a place with At home Management, they continue to help and I found a place. They are remarkable ladies who strive to make you happy. I have read comments about them being a racist, I’m black and I was treated with the upmost respect every time I called or went in the office. Maribel and Reyna best wishes because they deserve all the blessings they come their way.

MAKE SURE THE PPL THAT MANAGEMENT WITH THEM ARE NOT RACIEST ALL THEY WANT IS MONEY I WENT IN APPLY FOR APP IT WASN'T EVEN 12 HOURS THEY TOLD ME I WAS DENIED WHEN THERE APPLICATION SAID 48-72 HRS AND IF DON'T QUALIFY WE CAN GET A CO SIGNER THEY NEVRN ASK ME I STILL HAVE ONEBTHERE APPLICATION THAT HAS ALL INFO DON'T CARE WHAT THEY SAY IT WAS DISCRIMINATION AND I ALREADY GOT MY LAWYER OTHER'S FEEL THE SAME I CONTACT BBB & ETC MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR CREDIT WISE WHAT ANY IF THESE SCAMMING PROPERTY KARMA IS LOVELY

I’ve just recently rented through At Home Property Management they rented me a house that nothing worked the ac/heater, garbage disposal, dish washer, garage door, two sinks are clogged, they refused to change the lock for our house on the community mail box then when asked for a proof of reimbursement if we paid for the mail box lock they refused to give us that proof so it’s unknown if we will really be Reimbursed as well it’s been over a month and they have yet to give me my lease which is needed to enroll my daughter in school & is needed to purchase a new lock on our mail box so we are unable to get our mail I call every day since August 3rd to be put on hold for more then 20 mins each time & to be constantly lied to by rayna it took more then 2 weeks for them to replace the ac/heater unit keep in mine I’m a family of 5 & my children are ages 7 years old, 1 years old & I have a baby who is 6 months old the house would get hotter the 100 degrees daily which is an unsafe temperature for my two babies it has been over a month still no lease the garbage disposal, dishwasher & two clogged sinks have went unnoticed even though I call daily & have been told they will call me back I have yet to receive a call back from at home property management on the days they claim they will call me back the only reason they fixed the garage door is because some one had broke into my house while I wasn’t home through the broken garage door as for garbage disposal they had called me claiming someone was calling my phone trying to make an appointment to replace it I never received a call finally I get a call & make an appointment as to the day and appointment time comes no one comes to replace disposal I call to find out why they are late for the company to tell me they received a call from rayna stating they didn’t have approval to fix the disposal they are constantly giving me the run around on everything it has taken over a month to get connected to their online portal and when I finally received it it’s not even updated information was incorrect! Please inform all others of this bad property management I can’t believe they can treat people rudely & not want to fix anything let alone rent a house out when it wasn’t and still isn’t considered livable condition! I’d give negative stars if that was a choice!

Doesn’t get back to you & super unprofessional place. Good luck. They’ve had the same two homes for two months listed for rent LOL.

Fred goodspeed and the folks at at home property management are a very good group and I would highly recommend working with them

I went in a few weeks back to look at a property, i made them an offer they were asking 1500 for a property that was NOT updated, the MANAGER there said she didnt think the owner would go down on the price, but she would ask. NEVER DID I HEAR FROM THEM AGAIN! AND THE SAME PROPERTY IS STILL THERE UN RENTED! THEY KEEP REPOSTING IT OVER AND OVER! LOL THERE SERIOUSLY A JOKE.
I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

The only good reviews are fake accounts made by the property management. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy.

At Home has managed my rentals since 2005. Other than Patty being a Bronco's fan, I have zero complaints with At Home. They have always responded in a timely manner to my concerns. They have always found great renters. Their maintenance team does excellent work. The At Home team make owning rental property easy!:)

Maribel & Patty are great. Anytime I have had a problem they have been quite helpful. If I have questions they are always able to provide an answer. They are Great Ladies who you can tell take pride in what they do.

We've been with at home property management for about a year now. Everytime we go in we always get great service. Maribel is very nice & helpful. She always answers any questions I may have. I would recommend at home property management no doubt!
