Atwood Apartments, Citrus Heights CA

I have been living here for a little over a years now and I very much enjoy the complex! The community manager Jenelle always takes care of me whenever an issue arises! Also when I get any service issues they try to solve on priority, so it's very good experience for me.

Nice inside and out. I personally do not live here but my family does and they're very satisfied with there new home!

I love this property and the uniqueness of the look of the homes here! The management and maintenance teams are great! Always friendly and very helpful! Plus, the community of residents in my vicinity create a great neighborhood!

Me and my husband loved to stay in Atwood apartments, its clean and spacious to compare other apartment.

I love living at Atwood. The maintenance team is awesome and the office staff made my move in so easy and enjoyable. I am a very happy resident.

I've lived in low income housing for years, prior to living here, and received better service from that Management. Y'all thought Francesca didn't care before? Jenelle cares even LESS. Francesca sent an email prior to leaving that Jenelle was out on leave, and was expected back sometime in July. It is now October, no emails were ever sent to let residents know she returned, or who we could reach out to in her absence. Now, Megan is in the front, and Jenelle is just feeding her to the wolves.
Management continues to lie, stating there are 2-3 maintenance men working, when there is only one. Jason has quit, and he seemed to be the only one who cared about the property or residents. Jenelle acts bothered when residents come to her w/ issues, IE A NON WORKING APPLIANCE THAT WE PAY FOR MONTHLY.

We pay $75 (even though we signed a contract for $50/mo) a month to be able to park our second vehicle in a spot, however they allow other residents w/ multiple vehicles to park in the "visitor parking" for weeks and EVEN MONTHS ON END, and not make the residents use THEIR GARAGE FOR A VEHICLE, but rather as a storage unit.and lied about that for months as well. (All documented of course)

The gates are always broken or left open for the tweakers of Citrus Heights to come and rummage through the UNLOCKED garbage enclosures.

Point blank period, If you can afford to live here, you can afford to live elsewhere. DO NOT GIVE MG PROPERTIES ANY OF YOUR MONEY.

(First picture is of the resident whose white vehicle has been in a visitor parking spot for over 3 weeks now, and that's also his Benz parked in SOMEONE ELSE'S parking spot. This same resident was allowed to park 2 of his 3 vehicles in 2 of the 4 visitor parking spots offered for over 3 months. Management lied about trying to tow his car, as we have pictures FROM EVERY SINGLE DAY HIS CAR SAT THERE. Second picture is of a couch and now bed that has been sitting outside the dumpster enclosure for OVER A WEEK.)

Jenelle, if you hate your job so much, please quit. Because those of us who live there, are tired of paying your salary for you to do nothing but lie.

I have lived here since march 2017. My experience here has been completely positive. I love the staff and the quietness of the area. I’ve seen different staff members come and go through out the years. The manager we have now Jenelle is completely awesome! She takes her job seriously and gets things done and taken care of quickly. She has hosted many resident activities such as rootbeer floats and movie nights. I have never had a delay in having anything fixed by maintenance once I place a work order on the portal. She has done a great job keeping the homeless population off grounds and overall just has made it a positive place to live. I would definitely recommend Atwood apartments as a place to live. We have pools that are well cared for, a workout center that is always clean and even a nice grill area. Over all it’s a great place for a family environment or if you are single.

I've been an Atwood resident for 3 plus years and love the community! The property is beautifully landscaped with a homey feel. The amenities support my everyday needs, and I appreciate the updated and spacious floor plan of my adorable 1 bedroom apartment. I've come to love my neighbors, Jenelle and the management team, and that the property is centrally located with the most convenient shopping options. Prices are competitive and I fell in love the minute I drove into the complex. Atwood has become my At Home.

The leasing agent was really sweet and very professional. The apartment we saw was really nice and on the top of our move in list. The grounds are really nice, and the vibe of the place is very chill and relaxed.

It has 2 nice pools, a BBQ area, gym with weights, and a dog park. The apartments are spacious and designed well. There is controlled access via a gate fob and/ or keypad, which is a nice feature. It keeps out unwanted guests.

If you ever plan on using the pool to swim in do it right after the pool service shows up and cleans it. Unless you like swimming with ducks and what they leave behind. I also asked the pool service tech do they make stuff to keep the ducks out he said yes and the Complex does not want to spend the extra money to keep the ducks out of the water. It's crazy because they are making a fortune charging people monthly for parking spots.

ATWOOD APARTMENTS commented on my post. Just so everyone knows that might be looking to move here. ATWOOD APARTMENTS HASN'T picked up one of my 6 phone calls with a Voice mail left letting them know I'm a resident asking for a call back. This PLACE Does not care about the people that live here. TRUST.

On top of my last post are units washer broke on July 2nd it is now July 17th and we still do not have a washer in are 3 bedroom unit that we are close to paying $3,000 monthly for. Just goes to show you they put no money into this place once they take your money.

I would advise anyone looking to live here to find another apartment complex I have had 3 friends move in the last year and didn't recommend 1 of them to live at ATWOOD APARTMENTS.

Always timely in their response time and professional and respectful when completing the required maintenance.

Multiple maintenance issues. Been here 3 months and still have issues from the day we moved in. The back gate is always broke so there are homeless people wondering around. My neighbor almost had her door kicked in by a drunk because he wondered in the broken gate. We pay way too much money to be dealing with these kind of issues. They would rather send memos on rules and policies instead of fixing problems. They never answer the phone and when you put in a maintenance request, you might have someone come look at it a week later. Not fix it though. Come look at it then leave saying they will be back later.spoiler alert.they never come back. Costs keep going up and service is in the gutter.

Had a great experience when visiting the property for the first time last week. Got to meet with the manager and get a tour. Beautiful property and hoping to become apart of the community

Love the current staff they do a nice job. Would have been higher but for the permanent duck population in the pools!

I wish I could rate this apartments 0 stars. I had a cross state long distance move this afternoon. I signed the lease virtually, did all the paperwork on time and after an 8 hour flight, I come to the place and to my surprise, the team did not even bother walking me to the unit or show me around perhaps as now the rent has been paid and they got the money. I can still deal with that part but next….
I walked in the unit and found the apartment messy with half the stuff broken or not functioning. Attached are the pictures. Even the bath tub is greasy.
It seems like the previous tenants moved out and the apartment was just handed over to me.
This was finalized with me selling the idea of removated apartment and all that rosy picture but such a dissapointment. With such high rent and this mess probably might be beneficial to rent elsewhere.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT LEASING HERE.

I have never lived somewhere where the water is shut off so much for repairs. In fact, I’ve never lived ANYWHERE where this was ever and issue. They’ve been doing this multiple times a year now, twice in the last week or two. Hopefully the crazy rent increases mean they are able to make enough changes to finally stop doing this over and over?
