The analysis was thorough, the explanation comprehensible, the work was done in a timely manner and the price was appropriate. I will be a return customer. I like the idea of no monthly car payment now for almost ten years and with the routine maintenance, this car will be motoring well into the future.
I had a great experience taking my Honda HR-V in for service. I scheduled an appointment for a dash light that turned off as soon as I got to my appointment. Paula went above and beyond by providing her direct contact information so I could bring my car back in when the light came back on. I dropped by once the light came back on, and she made sure that the issue was fixed and also addressed other issues (like a software update) which I wouldn’t have known needed to be done. She also communicated with me after I picked up my car from a different service advisor. It felt like she truly cared about getting my car fixed, and that it was done quickly and efficiently. The service team is great! Clear and timely communication on services needed and when completed. Double checked my service agreement with me to make sure services needed were covered, or explained the cost. Communicated easily via text and also was able to pay online for faster pickup upon arrival.
I have used this dealership for all the repairs and maintenance of the two Honda Fits I have owned. The staff are always professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. Shout out to Kathy who helped me out on my recent visit for an oil change. It’s nice to see women in service advisor roles in the industry. Now that the dealership has gone through a complete remodel. It’s much more modern looking and up to date.
My only complaint is that they rely too much in paper for estimates and final paperwork. I hope they upgrade to a digital platform soon.

Here's why I’ve been taking my car to be serviced at the Honda dealership since 1995. My car failed the “Star Smog Check” emission part. (I might need a new catalytic converter!) (Up to $3,000? I couldn't sleep!) I took it to the dealership for repair. I didn't have a ride home, I was going to wait for the car and told them this. As I was settling down, John, approached me and said that they could not get to my car today. That he did not want me to worry about getting home. That he would personally see that I got a ride. (Since Covid they do not offer free rides home) So this was very magnanimous of him, to say the least. Later I spoke with Lidio, my service adviser. He said he wanted to have my car re-evaluated. When I heard from him again my car had passed everything! It seems the first smog station had not tested my car adequately and had gotten false results! When I picked up my car, I gave Lidio a big hug. There isn’t a better dealership than this one! There are no better people than here!
Very impressed with the Service Department. Courteous people who give you honest feedback on what needs to be done and what can wait. I highly recommend Costa Mesa Honda.
Paula is one of the best service employees this Honda service department has. She was patient and through at explaining everything. She helped me so much! Will come back just for her amazing service!
Worst customer service I have ever had at a Honda dealership in the past 20 years of being a customer to Honda. Employees were very rude and inconsiderate of situation. I had 2 recalls on my vehicle that I took it in for and when I booked the appointment they said would take no longer than an hour and a courtesy car would be provided considering it is a recall not a personal issue. Instead it took an hour just to get my vehicle checked in just for them to tell me that they MIGHT be able to finish it within 3 days and still not provide any type of courtesy car or compensation for now having to rent a car for 3 days. Overall DO NOT go to this location. If you’re looking for one in the area that will actually help you go to Huntington Honda on Beach Blvd.
This is my second time buying a new car from Auto Nation. I am extremely happy with the customer service experience and pricing I received. I would recommend Auto Nation to anyone. 5 star experience.
I called twice about my s2000 seat belt which I purchased in 2001. Low mileage. After speaking with manager after the second call, they verified my information and scheduled my appointment. When I arrived, the service person didn't have me on the schedule and was told it would be a 4 hour wait. Manager told me it would be an hour to 2 hour wait to evaluate the issue and most likely order parts since car was old. When I saw manager walk by I introduced myself and my situation and she immediately remembered me. She confirmed they would evaluate and I would be on my way. After an hour and 45 minutes I went to service desk and she got my car reiterating parts would be ordered. I felt like if I didn't go up to desk, I could have been waiting an additional 2 hours for nothing. I am waiting for parts to see resolve of my seat belt issue. Staff were pleasant but communication needs to be addressed

My main complaint is with check in and pick up. The customer service in this area is lacking compared with other dealers. The young girl they have sitting at a podium makes minimal effort to show care for customers. Check in even with an appointment seems dicey at best. She was still sitting at her podium once I paid for my service and walked outside to get my car. There was a guy that I assumed worked there as well and they were deep into a conversation. When I asked where my car was she merely pointed to a white car, when I walked over I realized it was not my white car. I walked back towards her and then noticed my car was parked at the other end of the driveway. She never looked up as I walked past and continued her conversation to the other employe. This lack of consideration does not motivate me to come back to this dealer
