AVA Pacific Beach, San Diego CA

If you’re in the military, do not rent here! First of all, they installed new locks on all doors and gates and increased rent by 200+ as a result. They entered my room while I was on deployment and took the circular doorknob I had replaced for my dog who knows how to open doors. Circular doorknobs, he can’t open, but the ones the apartment complex uses he knows how to open. While I was on deployment, I had several issues and because I was half across the world it was difficult to do things or fix things that went wrong. I got terrible support from this place while I was on deployment. One was rent payment. Note: I’m in the military, we get BAH that pays for the places we live at. There was an issue with my bank. I tried to contact support via email while I was on the ship out at sea to make payment, but nothing, no support. My only form of communication was email because, out at sea, there is no cell service for obvious reasons. That was only one of the several issues. I was literally renting this place out for 7 months, but did not live at my room because I was on deployment. This my experience as a service member. Others, non-military might differ. I gave it 2 stars because it is dog friendly and the monthly fee is reasonable. I live in a studio fyi. For the amount I pay for it, I could live in a decent one bedroom apartment some place else.

I moved to AVA six months ago and everything has been perfect. Alex Grajeda and the team made the whole process really quick and easy. The amenities are just incredible. I highly recommend it.

3 years living here.great amenities, but what really does make this apartment is the maintenance people and the leasing office, especially Alex Grajeda. Alex leads the management team and he is always responsive and helpful.

I have lived in this gated community for over 10 years and don't want to ever move out) Anytime I've had a maintenance issue it's next day service. I don't even have that many maintenance issues because everything in my apartment is completely brand new. I want to give a sincere "thank you" to ARMONDO, Rodrigo and Edward with the maintenance team who went over and beyond their job responsibilities to provide me with excellent customer service. Besides the "Super Star" maintenance team, my most favorite part about living here is the 40-person jacuzzi and the amazing friendly community that lives here, like family to me. They have a fully lighted university style basketball and tennis courts. Luckily, I won a raffle at AVA and won a $300 beach cruiser which is a must when you only live a few blocks from the beach. Last but not least, my favorite amenity is the all-star gym which in my opinion is totally first class! Love the local restaurants that are within walking distance. Also, Sea World has almost a nightly firework routine you can watch from your apartment. Rocky's hamburger joint right across the street is known for having the best hamburgers in all of San Diego. Crest Liquor store is the best too, the prices are comparable to the local grocery stores with amazing customer service (the men in ties). I can't really say enough good things about living at the AVA Pacific Beach. It's truly a great place to call home.

This rating is a special shout out to the maintenance team and the technician teams! They are always super helpful and quick to resolve the issue. Shout out to Eric the tech for helping me get my phone back after I accidentally tossed it in the trash. I mean, what a guy! And shout out Alex in the office too!

I moved into AVA about 2 weeks ago. My experience with the tour, move-in, and everyday life at AVA has been perfect. The staff is extremely helpful and professional. The complex is clean and safe. The amenities are very nice, and it’s a social environment for people in their 20s and 30s. I would recommend living here. Great location

Can't speak highly enough of AVA. Of course the amenities are great, but what sets it apart from any other place I've lived is the quality of the community. It's fun here and at the same time stays clean and cordial. I've never had an issue with noise or dealt with unreasonable demands from staff or other residents.

Also, I would be remiss not to mention AVA community consultant and my personal hero Luis Quintana. Positively elite at what he does. If there's any issue at all I drop Luis an email and it's magically solved within a day or two. It's incredibly refreshing to see how much he cares about the residents and how professionally he carries out his work.

We moved in almost 2 weeks ago. We love everything about Ava. The amenities are awesome and always immaculate. Luis Quintana (community consultant) is such a happy and amazing person. He made our move in experience easy and stress free. We cant say enough about him. His customer service is top notch. THANKS LUIS. A+

I love living at Ava specially because of the community of professional workers around the complex. All of them are very profesional and work very hard to keep Ava up and running. Martha Soto always greets my husband and I with a smile, asks about our day, makes sure that our building, hallway and surrounding areas are always clean. Martha goes above and beyond in making sure we are happy tenants at Ava.

Easiest move in process ever! Meilani went out of her way to help us move in. 10/10 customer service and 10/10 hospitality!

Move in experience was a breeze, Luis and the rest of the team were always super helpful. This is my second AVA building I've lived in and I just love the community and good management.

I wanted to give a special shout-out to Angelica Castro from the maintenance crew - she is a rockstar and is so friendly every time I see her, plus our building is always sparkling clean! Thank you Angelica.

We moved into AVA Pacific Beach about a week ago, and the experience has been wonderful. After residing a few other places in the area (that we were NOT happy with), Luis Quintana and the team at Ava have been a breath of fresh air. It's the first time that we feel like we're being "taking care of", by a crew that truly does care. The amenities and location of Ava PB are second to none. We're looking forward to spending many years here.
