Rosalvo (maintenance lead technician) is always very friendly and helpful. My maintenance requests were all addressed very quickly usually within a day and he does a great job.

The best apartment I have ever lived in. I wish I could stay here for a longer time. The apartment is so quiet, and your neighbors are all friendly people. It's always clean in the apartment. Thanks to Frankie and Jose, who help us a lot and provide such excellent service.

+ Quiet, a good place if you WFH
+ Safe, even late at night. You can always see Caltech's security vehicle around.
+ Close to the old town, h marts, trader joes (walking distance), whole foods.
+ Many restaurants within walking distance (they are all great!)

- Some appliances are old but okay to use.

Having lived here for a long time, I would like to say that this is an amazing apartment! Frankie and all the other staff are very professional and friendly!
The maintenance service is great! Rosalvo is very polite and respectful of the residence. They come and fix the problem very fast! Usually the next day or the same day they can fix it.

Rosalvo recently helped us with a few issues at our unit, and we would like to thank him and his maintenance crew for their exceptional services. They are sincere people who have great work collaboration, and they took care of everything for us swiftly and cheerfully. We appreciate how this apartment community has such a wonderful and professional team!

Very happy with the living experience in this building. Clean premises, friendly staff and great maintenance and service. We recently had issues with our furnace and kitchen lighting and Rosalvo from maintenance provided the best service we could have asked for - professional and polite and covering everything we needed.

Frankie and Jose are the best! They are the reason why I chose to stay at AVA. The community is so quiet and friendly. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance. Definitely recommend!

This is a great apartment. The maintenance supervisor Jose and sales supervisor Frankie are really helpful. They can always promptly respond to our needs. 5-stars recommend!

This is a great apartment - moved in before the pandemic and its been totally worth it, safe because of the regular patrols by Caltech, quiet and clean. The maintenance team led by Jose and the leasing office lead Frankie are prompt and efficient. The only surprise we had was with the rent increases through the pandemic, but well that is LA I guess.

Moved in one month ago and everything seems very good. Quite at night, fast reply from the maintenance, friendly staff, and closed to everything I need. 5mins walking to Lake Ave, 3mins to Caltech.

I'll change my rating and possibly my review once hopefully SOMEONE gets back to me.

My fiancé and I have been at this location now twice. I went with my soon to be MIL - we were well received and the staff agent was receptive. (I'm reframing in saying the name at this time because I believe that people deserve a second chance).

I don't know exactly what happened in regards to our applications were placed on Friday 1/15. I just know that right now it seems that legally said so I may have lost my application fee. Waiting upon our deposit on hold to get back to us.

The community at first sight doesn't strike you right away at first; though once you enter the premises is colorful and inviting just as it is displayed on their website!

I'm feeling shaded with the apartment specials and offers to move-in!

Only to learned that once you applied and pay for your fees it literally takes 24 hours in getting a answer for approval once they run your credit and background history! That didn’t took place at the time because my fiancé had his credit frozen by the time he got to release it. It was way after the 24hour window and the unit was given to whomever was next.

MAJOR UPDATE: Like I said and promised Frankie (rental agent) is your go-to person. Though keep in mind that however getting a hold of anyone in the Avalon communities office. Have some serious patience.

I must say that I lost it on Friday 1/22. It took me 2 hours after an email and prior to that two other surveys from Avalon communities to get someone’s attention and on the phone in order to get back to me.

The “On HOLD” deposit Sunday 1/17 was returned immediately right away within 48hours.

There was a big miscommunication and confusion within my fiancé/boyfriend and my MIL. I still hope that I can move-in and live here. If not? Oh well.

Very quiet and clean, this has been a great apartment community to live in. The people working here are great too: Frankie has been extra nice and helpful anytime something comes up, and it's always nice to stop by the office and chat. In maintenance, Jose has been also nice, very prompt and professional when something needs to be fixed around the apartment. The area is very walkable too, there's tons of things to do around.
