This place is horrible. I’ve lived here for a month and it’s been nothing but bad. My packages get stolen from my door and leasing office does nothing about it. Management said “ooo it’s stolen not my problem”

Currently living at Avalon Huntington Beach and can’t say enough good things about Kennedi Wallace the resident Community Consultant. From the day I moved in she has been extremely helpful. All interactions are met with a smile and a “can do” attitude which is a treat to encounter!

The most hilarious apartment complex ever! Okay so for guest to enter you gotta bend all the way down and type in a 9 digit code this is for the elevator! Crazy never seen anything so hilarious and to top it off plain white hall ways and they thought they could jus polish the floor and it would look nice looks like a highschool hall way complete joke whoever designed this I’m so disappointed this is the definition of a catfish apartment looks nice outside but inside is Opposite Day!

I have been living here for a year now. I have lived other places before and I think, in this apartment, the sound isolation is poorly done between neighboring apartments. In addition, This place is filled with College kids which means it is a loud environment. Obviously they don't know anything about the culture of living in apartment and respecting other tenants. I have complained to the office several times about my loud tenant but the office has never replied or done anything. I am just waiting for my lease to end and move out from here asap. If you are a normal working person who sleeps early at night and wakes up early to go to work, I suggest you to look for another place to live.

I agree with Elyse and Ashk’s reviews. The old management was great. The current management, well… I’ll let this review speak for itself. When I first moved here a year ago almost all the units were full, now there are over 25 units open. I think that says something in itself…

Beware of signing a lease on the second floor, the F45 gym below makes a lot of extremely loud sounds that begin at 5: 00 am (music, weights/balls being dropped). Not their fault by any means (they’re actually an amazing gym, but that’s a whole other review), however, management will not tell you that you are moving in above a gym and once you move in they excuse it by saying you signed a lease acknowledging this noise would happen. The lease says there will be sounds from the retail below “from time to time, ” not every day. I’m appalled they would even put tenants in the apartments above the gym.

The people above me throw parties, scream, move furniture all day and night and management does not care. I totally support people being able to live their lives and have fun, the partying and loud sounds just don’t work for me and my career. I voiced my concerns (via email- because you can’t talk to anyone in person here) and when nothing changed I asked to move to another apartment to escape this unpleasant noise situation (coming from above and below). They told me I could not move apartments without breaking my lease and paying a very large fee.

In addition, they do fire alarm testing constantly that will last several hours over multiple days. During this multiple day period they also tell you they can enter your home at any time.

If you’re a working professional who needs sleep or are looking for an apartment where management respects and treats you as a human being, this is not the place for you!

While its tough to directly contact the office staff, they have been phenomenal and are an amazing team. Blake and Monika have been fantastic in supporting us and our requests (even if sometimes crazy). To top things off, maintenance is fantastic as well. Immediate support and a very friendly team. Thank you, Omar & Ector!

Don’t even bother scheduling a tour. We had a confirmed tour scheduled. Arrived at the leasing office and then my husband called 3 different phone numbers… and NOBODY ANSWERED. So unprofessional. Would not recommend this place.

I have had 6 leases across two Avalon apartment locations. My leases at the AVA Theater District in Boston were all amazing. I have nothing but good things to say about that apartment complex and their staff. However, the Avalon Huntington Beach is another story. Given the price point of this complex, the facilities are average and the service is simply terrible. I have had numerous packages get lost due to the disorganization of the complex and their unwillingness to pay for an appropriate amount of locker space. I have opened multiple service tickets that were promptly closed without actually being addressed. Moreover, they are pushing everyone to use an app so that they can minimize service via phone and in person visits. However, when the app doesn't work or the service staff don't pay attention to what you message them on the app, the only option you have is to schedule a meeting on a Saturday or take time off of work during the weekdays. The only way I have every been able talk to a human being is by leaving a message requesting a call back, which happens when they're free rather then when I'm free (how are people with jobs supposed to deal with this?). I only need about 1-2 hours of assistance a year, but I cannot seem to find a way to talk to a human being who will take the time to listen. Very disappointing. It is very sad to me that the only recourse I have is to post this to the internet.

Just wanted to drop a Thank you to Monika Carriker. She was our leasing agent. She is warm, patient, kind, and attentive. We loved the building but what sold the place to us was her. It was between Avalon and another local apartment complex. We felt at home at Avalon with Monika.

I have lived here for about 5 months so far and these fire alarms keep going off with no actual emergency and takes about 30 minutes for it to shut off. Fix your Fire Alarm System its really annoying when people have things to do and these alarms keep going off.

BEWARE - my lease is about to be up & i was sent a renewal offer for over $500/month more than what I am currently paying. Complete rip off. I thought California law states that you cannot raise rent by higher than 10% in a year but the lady who works at the front office said Avalon is exempt from that law. I would avoid moving here if possible

Moving in was a STRUGGLE! Just one of those days that happen in a movie, not in real life. However, things happen. People are human and the front office staff made things right. Although, the real blessing of this property is Monika! She is just so down to earth and so nice and professional. She doesn’t just put on a corporate facade and fix problems…she remains human and talks to you like a friend. She hears you and that means the world. Avalon is lucky to have her and I am so happy to be living in such a beautiful and amazing apartment!

I have been living at Avalon Huntington Beach since 2020, and I am really happy with this place. Avalon team provides excellent customer services. For some personal reasons, I paid to break the lease to move out, but then changed my mind and stay. I spoke to Kennedy Wallace, community consultant. Kennedy walked me through the process and made it very easy for me. He is very responsive and helpful. 5 stars for Kennedy.
The place is very nice and clean. Maintain service requests are completed on the same day. I will choose to stay at Avalon HB long term.

Rene is a wonderful person! He had helped me to patch the drywall in my house with the utmost care! Whenever he is over, he would always be sure to be respectful and would always be on time. Thank you Rene and Avalon team for everything. You are wonderful team

I have lived at this facility since 2016 and was thinking of leaving due to the lack of attention to residents and the security of its facility - I call to give my notice but end up speaking with Monika. Luckily, for Avalon, Monika took my call. She was very attentive to my concerns and immediately calmed me down and made me feel at ease with the changes the property had in the pipeline. SO. I renewed another year!
