Avalon Walnut Ridge, Walnut Creek CA

This review is way past due and I cannot thank our maintenance team enough for all the hard work they do here at Avalon. I had a number of issues that needed to be fixed and Tony did an amazing job fixing them in a timely and efficient manner. Thank you Tony!

Moved in about 6 months ago:
- Admin service: 5 stars - Ask for Silvia she is awesome and tries to help with everything.

- Apt Condition on Move in date: 1 Star, I moved in in august and my AC was not working and it took the tech team 1 month to fix it. Temperature went as high as 115 in my apt. Make sure to check your AC and heating system if you consider moving in.

- tech service: 3 stars - aside of the AC issue (which involved vendors) tech guys try to fix things promptly.

Security: 1 star - in the last 4 weeks, I have been a victim of theft twice. First time, parts of my motorcycle were stolen, second time, car battery was stolen. Garages are open, with no gates and there is no security agents patrolling and no cameras aside of 2 in the entire complex. Also, I started seeing tents and people camping around the complex (homeless camps). I honestly, feel Avalon is NOT doing enough in terms of security.

I hope this feedback helps the administration improve.

Avalon Ridge took my feedback seriously and did what is in their hands to correct the safety issues.
1. I noticed a security officer patrolling at night
2. They credited me with a partial refund for the stolen parts (Highly appreciated).

We have been at Avalon Walnut Ridge for 8 years. Our long tenure there pretty much explains how much we enjoyed the space and grounds.
Love the amenities-gym, pool, fire pit, dog parks, pool table- and location-near downtown walnut creek, bart and the freeway.
The property management staff are wonderful! Very helpful, kind and communicative. The maintenance group also is very professional and helpful.

Avalon Ridge is decent apartments if you don’t have kids, there is not any park or playground for your minors unless you drive 8-10 minutes. Other then that the staff is very nice, the leasing process is very smooth. Apartments are quite smoke free mostly. And safe area.

Had a technician named Francisco come in. Super friendly and helpful, was able to fix my plumbing issue. Great customer service!

I’ve been living in my studio for quite some time now. I don’t usually encounter problems aside from seasonal a/c issues. This summer, my a/c has been breaking down a lot but Francisco has done such a great job attending to the issue as soon as he could. He’s also given me helpful tips to prevent a breakdown. Francisco is the most reliable maintenance guy out here! I’d always call him when I need something done

I live in AWR for about 1.5 year and really enjoying it every day. Two days ago had an issue with broken passage lock of the front door. Left a request and today it was fixed. It was a kind of weird because for me it was an emergency, I spent about 40 minutes trying to get in after leaving a request and the team fixed it only next day but okay. Now it’s done and I am satisfied with all the works. Great thanks for Francisco, he made it fast.
All the team is helpful and friendly. I highly respect all they do for us in the community.

Avalon Walnut Ridge is right by the BART in Contra Costa Centre. If you work close by, it would be a great place to live, but is too far from my new job. Mary Bennett and the entire office are wonderful!

Broken toilet took a few days to be inspected which is the only “not good” part of this review. But once attended to, things went smoothly. Problem was determined, parts were ordered quickly and the installation was done correctly and effectively within days of inspection. Tony fixed the issue to my ultimate satisfaction. Thanks Tony!

Mary and team have made my move in process very easy. Everything from filling out the application to answering all my questions. I am very happy with my decision to live here with all of the great amenities they offer such as a dog park, pool, and 24 hr gym. It is also located close to freeway access, walking distance to bart and steps away from the iron horse hiking trail.

This review is solely based upon the service and due diligence of two staff members.

The first staff member that I would like to give praise to is Mary Bennett. Every management team needs that one tenured member who goes the extra mile for tenants; and Mary is that go-to person. I am extremely appreciative of the time and effort she puts forth.

The second staff member is Keith Wilson. Keith is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and is willing to exhaust every possibility in order to ensure tenant satisfaction. His communication is always clear and concise. I hope management and the maintenance staff know that they have an exceptional worker on their hands. He is surely deserving of upward mobility and I hope to see it soon.

Tony was a pleasure to work with when our AC unit failed. He was very communicative, responsive, and professional. He was extremely thorough investigating all possible solutions and when he identified the issue would need additional work he was able to provide a portable AC unit to hold us over. He didn’t have to do that, but he took the time to install the unit and was very reassuring that he would continue to follow up with us until we reached a full resolution. Top tier! Thank you so much Tony! We really appreciate all of your hard work!

Moved in here a month ago. Silvia was amazing with everything, from being prompt with communication and helping me with a seemless move in process.
Would recommend this place to other.
Biggest highlight for me is the proximity is the BART station.

Moving into Avalon Walnut Ridge was my easiest move experience ever, and I've had a few. The staff, including Mary have been helpful and easy to work with. The building itself is really nice. It's not brand new by any means, but everything is very nice, updated, and I've had 0 problems so far. I really love my apartment - the fiber internet (1 Gb down/up), the central AC, and the in-unit washer/dryer are awesome.and the assigned parking included with rent is extremely helpful. Guest parking is hit or miss, YMMV. Overall a 5/5, and looking forward to being here for a long while.

We moved to Avalon Ridge 2 days back and had the best experience! Silvia is the best and will take care of your requirements and needs. The management team is awesome in providing great service to their residents. Looking forward to staying here as long as we could!
