Big fan of this salon.all of the staff are very nice and accommodating.they do great acrylics in about an hour which I love, because I hate sitting for a long time.

I have been visiting this place for several years; however, it seems that since the business resumed full operation after COVID, the staff has become increasingly impolite. The management appears decent but they do nothing to control the discourteous behavior of their team.

Without going into all the details, during my last appointment, one of the manicurists was so offensive that I had no choice but to leave the premises even before receiving any service.
There are thousands of nail places in Los Angeles, so I would not recommend to anyone to shell out even $1 at this salon. I will certainly never set foot there ever again due to the extreme rudeness I have encountered.

My story has a happy ending since I went to another nail salon where I received a Dip Powder Manicure which was far better than that offered to me at Avatar.

Every time I've gotten nails here they have popped off the next day. The manager, Sam, didn't believe me and was very rude over the phone, and began yelling at me.

As a first timer, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. My brother and I both went for their specials - I got the foot scrub & pedi combo, he got the mani/pedi combo. I would say that for the price, it is well worth it. Since it is so close to me, I will definitely come back to try their gel mani.

PROS:
- 10min massage w the special
- Massive comfortable chairs
- Friendly service
- Pedicure was good

CONS:
- Massage was a little rough and repetitive on my shin area.
- The callus removal is just a gel that they put on your feet for like a minute so I can’t say that it does anything.
- They charge $5 each for mani/pedi shiny buffing which was a little unnecessary IMO if you don’t get polish. I would think they would just throw in the service in replacement for a polish.

First visit was great. Nice, cozy chairs and a friendly staff. Had two lovely ladies who teamed up on my dogs. I left feeling refreshed and pretty in pink.

WOW! Awesome place. I was going on an '80s cruise and asked for '80s nails specifically neon and Pac-Man. It's like art by hand! Visited 5 salons prior and they said they don't do designs, even basic! This was top-notch art! Wish I lived here and this could be my regular salon.

Had an amazing experience. Walked in with out an appointment and was taken care of instantly. I brought a design in for my nail art and Harris did a phenomenal job! This is now my regular place!

I came in with a friend just for a walk in since their number wasn’t taking calls during the moment, since my reference photo had pearls and they didn’t have those, they used glitter on the outside, they came out really pretty either way especially on a busy day, if anyone wondering I got a manicure with gel that cost $85

Tina a gem! But management is trash and the place is incredibly dirty.
I have never dealt with such out right disrespect. I was talked about in front of my face and even though I don't speak Vietnamese I understand body language and tones.
If you want a subpar mani and pedi and sit in a filthy chair then this is your place. I have worked in the customer service industry for 20 years and I hate leaving reviews but thier actions this evening and yesterday caused me to leave one.
The only person I would let touch you in Tina that's it! I got her the 1st time I went but she wasn't available the second time I went and the two techs I got were disprectful and didn't do a great job.
I will never step foot into this place again and if are reading this you should not get your nails done here. Point Blank Period.
I gave it two stars because of Tina and the tech that fixed my three nails. Other then that it deserves ONE!
Avatar clean this filthy place up and do better. Kindness to the right people goes a long way!
