My family and I LOVE Carl and his staff. Truly an honest mechanic. They take great care of our cats. We've been going here for 10 years and have always been satisfied. They're flexible and work with you. They ensure that they've done a great job before handing over the keys. I can't say enough good things about them. Highly recommend! My whole family and in laws go to Avenue Yucca Car Care! You should go too!

I only go to Avenue Yucca now! They are always up front about what needs to be fixed, without trying to sell me on additional services or products I don't need. They listen to what the issues I'm having are without being condescending to me as a female which has happened at most other car shops, or dismissing my thoughts on what the causes may be since I know my car really well.
And, they do a great job of fixing it! Don't judge them by their location, they're a diamond in the rough and I'm very happy with them in all areas.

Had an oil change done, good price good service. Went back for shocks $400 to replace 260.00 shocks on a scion 3 bolts each. 800 todofront! Cheaper everywhere else.

WARNING this is how CARL treats FRONTLINE WORKERS WHO HAVE BEEN HIS CUSTOMER FOR 10 YRS PLUS!

If you want to be ripped off this is the place for you! Carl is a liar and a cheat! (he will quote you one price then charge you another) He charged a frontline worker over 110% of what a gas cap costs (Carquest price $13.99/ Carl's price $31.73), 200% for new rotors (Carquest price $73.99 X 2 = 147.98/ Carl's price 149.18 for each front rotor = $298.36 for both) and 150% for new brake pad kit (Carquest price $57.99/ Carl's price $133.63)

charged $500 for parts that cost $251.61 (total) according to carquest the auto parts service Carl utilizes!

For my brothers and sisters who don't know, just like I didn't, Carquest is the autoparts service Carl utilizes for his automotive needs.

Now if you do decide to use carl as your mechanic, I emphatically stress (PRIOR TO PAYMENT) identifying the item numbers on your receipt then go on the Carquest site to verify this man is not cheating you!
(BECAUSE HE WILL!)
Do it in front of him that way you can see the look on his face when he tries to manipulate you!

Thank You for Cheating a loyal and long time client Carl (10 yrs plus) a client who trusted and valued the services you provide. Your greed has eroded my trust and confidence not only in your work but your ethics as a human being. We are all struggling through this pandemic financially, mentally, and especially Spiritually. This does not Grant you the right to rip your unsuspecting longtime clients off because they trust you. I mean one of the reasons I come to you is because I know that you are a good mechanic and believed that you were an honest man and business owner, however, your actions dictate you dont care and are willing to rip off your long standing customers to make a buck! I almost forgot Carl decided to add injury to insult this by makìng it seem as though he was doing a favor buy acting like he gave a 50% discount on the labor he charged! Lol who does that (Thats any automotive businesses bread and butter!) ? A LIAR AND A CHEAT WHO WANTS YOU TO THINK he IS AN HONEST BUSINESSMAN! 10 YRS CARL THANKS! I WONDER HOW LONG HE HAS BEEN DOING THIS TO HIS CUSTOMERS!

Carl serviced my 2006 Honda Ridgeline. Brakes seemed out of round, rumbling when slowing down or coming to a stop. Informed me, even with this problem, that I had a lot of wear remaining on my brakes and rotors. Shaved the rotors, brakes now work fine. He is a very honest mechanic, very fair on the cost. Thank you, Carl!

I wont take my car anywhere else. In this day and age it is hard to find an honest, business to repair our cars. I have had Ave. Yucca car care work on my current car a few times in the past 3 years and have been overjoyed with the service.

I referred my brother-in-law to Avenue Yucca based on reviews, I'm upset I did. He needed an alternator changed on Ford Escape, which is a more difficult repair than normal, quote was $1000. Carl said alternator would cost at least $345 and labor was rest. I asked if it would be Motorcraft brand because that was the price from Ford, he said yes. Brother-in-law picked up car, I checked the replacement alternator, it turned out to be a new Carquest brand alternator which retails around 165. Not a Motorcraft one and he charged more than double the cost of the alternator. To top it off, bolt/nut for ball joint was barely hand-tightened, and tie rod nut was missing cotter pin, to me that was dangerous as hell. Supposedly the transfer case assembly was removed as part of labor cost, it looked untouched. Go somewhere else please. Your life may depend on it!

I came to Carl with a check engine light small EVAP leak that another shop misdiagnosed. He had the problem solved and fixed with in a couple hours and at a great price. He is very knowledgeable and friendly

I have been a customer of Carl's for more than 10 years. He always makes sure my car is running in tip top shape. His prices are reasonable and always explains everything that needs to be done! Hats off to Carl!

I was wary of going to a mechanic, being a Female and not knowing much about automotive repair, I had a fear of being taken advantage of. I contacted Carl told Him what my issues were with My Van, and He told Me to come on on in. As soon as I walked into his shop, I immediately felt at ease. I could tell that Carl and His Mechanic Staff were honest and knew what they were doing. Carl told Me what needed to be done now, what could wait until I could afford to come back, there was never any pressure to fix what wasn't necessary. I most definitely will be going back to Carl for any future work that may need to be performed on My Van. Thanks to Everyone at Carl's Automotive Service!

We have relied on Carl at Avenue Yucca Car Care for YEARS! For two main reasons: 1). Total honesty about what is Needed and what is not wrong, 2) quality work, and he backs up his repairs.

I'm from Los Angeles, had my car towed to Carl's shop after hrs, it was running hot, he fixed my car the next day, I picked it up drove back to Los Angeles with no problems, thanks a lot.

The most honest and thorough mechanic I have ever dealt with. Carl and his staff are always up front and so helpful!

Let me start off with the short version. He didn't fix the car properly at all, he didn't really want to fix the car, and he over charged us hundreds of dollars, and made us wait 6 days for a 60 dollar carburator. And CARL is not a good man for allowing all that to happen.
I only left my car at a mechanic because I was too sick to finish it, so while the whole time he assumed I was some dumb kid he was taking advantage of, I could see what was going on the whole time

When we got there, his first statement was how much he hates working on our type of car and that is boss makes him. That's not reassuring, and a professional shouldn't start of with how bad of a job he's gonna do, but what ever.

Then the hustle begins. Asking how much I paid for the car how long I've been working on cars, basically testing me as a customer. He then takes a few days to tell me and my mom we need a new carb, it'll be 400 bucks, and take a week to get there
WHAT A LIAR. You can buy a mid-to-high tier Street carburetor from Jegs for $150 and have it delivered in 3 days. So besides putting the carb on, he didn't do anything we asked.

Avoid this pathetic, fat man like the plague he is. I might just have to discuss this face to face one of these days it was so bad
