FRAUDULENT UNETHICAL BILLING.

WON'T RELEASE MEDICAL RECORDS.

NO FOLLOW UP FOR SENSITIVE/PAIN
TOOTH.

I have been a patient for 3 years and paid my portion fully. This doctor and Lucy have fraudulent and unethical billing practices. I contacted the practice numerous times this year to request digital receipts for tax purposes and was always told to call back. After numerous calls, I spoke to Lucy about it from there she proceeded to tell me I had services and owed money (were never rendered). She said insurances denied coverage, when insurance was called they said they don't have any denials. When confronted Lucy literally decides to tell me there were services never attached to my account that will be added (Fraudulently altering records). She proceeds to tell me those services are from 3 years ago when I had in house insurance (still unrendered services). When asked why was this never brought up so it can be disputed, Lucy said it was their accounting department's fault and never apologized. They won't release my medical records that were requested multiple times. I have a pain/sensitivity (went to ER) on tooth that Dr. Kimura worked on, they deny to see me for follow up. In fact, after making an appointment, the day of appointment I was told they don't have me on the books and won't see me at all as my account is in collection. After searching there are a lot of negative reviews (similar situations to mine) on yelp against Lucy and Dr Kimura, mentions of civil suits and malpractice Junction on his license. Lauren the receptionist can't answer a simple question or just gives misinformation with an attitude (how can somebody not know anything about the place they work in) and always asks to call back to speak to Lucy when she's in the office wasting people's time. 0 stars.

Great Experience! Great Staff- Dr Kimura is fantastic it was nice to have a dentist that didn't want to sell you unnecessary treatment- the hygienist Jennifer was fantastic she explained problem areas and gave great tips

I've been a patient for many years. I recently went because I needed my annual check up. Dr. Kimura is always a pleasure along with his staff. I've never had a issue when it comes to any dental work. I will always continue to get my care from Avia Dental!

Dr. Kimura has been my Dentist for over 19 years. When needed, he's very sensitive to my pain and always uses a 2-step process to inject numbing medication starting with an extremely small needle that is much easier for me to endure. In addition to routine dental services, i.e. Crowns, cavity repair, cleaning, x-rays, etc, I've had (2) implants done by him. Although one of the implants didn't take at first, both are firmly implanted now and working great. I've had nothing but excellent service from him and highly recommend him. It would be nice if Avia Dental procured a 3-D crown printer so he could make the crowns on site while I wait, which would save me a separate visit due to having a 3rd party make them. I know of other dental practices that have them.
