I decided to visit Avid Sports Medicine after stuffing a running injury. The team did an awesome job of identifying the exact injury and the underlying cause, and helped me work through some rehabilitation / conditioning exercises to prevent it from recurring. Very happy to be working with Avid to get my running legs back!

Wow what a negative Candidate experience I had! I hope that this isn’t a reflection on their customer service at their office- however, my Candidate experience was not very nice! I met with this group on December 9th - I spent over two hours at the interview, sent several follow-up emails and was ghosted! Finally, almost 2 months later, I reached out again and requested feedback about the role I applied for - only to be told the role was filled!
Although my Candidate experience was lacking, I can’t speak on the customer service experience!

I think in summary, Dr. Jow and Liz who took (and are taking) care of me are great! To quote someone; they spent my money well. Didn't feel like any time was wasted. My treatment was focused on the injury caused by my sport in question (climbing) and I was paired up with an athletic trainer (Liz) who also climbed. This meant it was easy to communicate exactly how I injured myself. On top of actually addressing the acute injury, a lot of what I did was learn how to strengthen the parts of me that failed so that I would not have to come back for the same injury.

Overall, highly recommend.

Avid Sports Medicine has made significant difference in my recovery and I am forever grateful to the outstanding team at AVM. I had a herniated disk which led to muscle atrophy and ongoing nerve pain. Shock wave therapy allowed me to re-engage in "physical therapy", begin the recovery process, and regain lost muscle strength. I was scared I would never regain the use of my calf muscle due to the atrophy. A big thanks to Dr. Jow and Liz Herron-Packwood, my amazing athletic trainer, for their excellent care and for making it fun!

Dr. Jow is very knowledgeable and engaging. She worked with me together to come up with a treatment plan. She spent more time with me than is typical these days with most doctors visits.

Liz is a delight! She is very enthusiastic, positive and really worked with me coming up with an exercise program that seemed to work. She also gives me a lot of information when I email questions to her.

So glad I started coming here! After frustrations trying to get back to swimming after shoulder surgery that regular physical therapy wouldn’t address, I’m finally back in the pool thanks to Liz. She really listens and adapts your program to help you succeed.

I have truly had THE best ski season of my life this year thanks in part to my work with the Avid team. They are so helpful, persistent, thorough and practical.

I have never felt stronger or more confident on the mountain, skiing 25+ days and working my way up to skiing moguls and double blacks. Historically, that kind of a season would have totally killed my back. But I haven't had to ice or use a heat pad or even Ibuprofen - not even once. I even shoveled heavy wet snow intensively for a solid hour plus to dig my car out with no pain.

I feel so good it's almost easy for me to forget that only 2 years ago I came to Avid after one of the most acute series of back spasms I'd had since they started 20+ years ago in high school. I'd seen various other providers over the years to try and work through the issue, but we never got very far and this is the longest stretch I've ever gone without even the inkling of a spasm.

I'm a client for life—checking in a few times a year to stay on top of my strength and prep me for ski seasons. A big heartfelt thank you to the team.

Dr. Jow Was great. I reached out with back pain that I have had for several years Dr. Jow and per PT team used shockwave therapy and PT and I put in the time doing all the exercises provided as well as listening to my body knowing when to push myself. My situation is 80% better now. They also gave me the tools to manage the pain. This team truly cares about you, listens, and provides the tools needed. I will be going back as needed to help manage my situation as needed.

Incredibly knowledgeable and mindful staff. They listened to my case and offered me a few different ways to help my pain. It was a team effort and I felt super supportive. They’re also great with working with people on a budget. Clean space with a good amount of equipment. If you’re feeling pain or want to work on getting stronger look no further Dr. Jow and her team will help you get back on track and feeling pain free.

Had been dealing with nerve pain running down my left arm after a shoulder and neck injury. Dr. Jow’s shockwave treatment and Julieta’s physical therapy had the pain gone in 2 treatments. I had been struggling with chronic plantar fasciitis as a runner for close to two years. I had tried everything: multiple PT offices, acupuncture, dry needling, sports massage. Nothing worked. Finally I went to Avid. Dr. Jow, Delana, and Julietta helped me relieve pain through shock therapy, and were incredibly attentive to helping me prevent future injuries by working with me to build strength where needed. I felt seen by each practitioner; that they really care about me and my health. I'm now experiencing less pain than I have in two years, and am back to running. I cannot recommend Avid any more highly.
