Avis Car Rental

Rented from Avis Poway twice and had great experienced both times. The price, the service, the selection of vehicles is top notch. I would only go here for car rental. Highly recommended.

Tony has provided excellent customer service every time we have used him. Even today, when there were a lot of unexpected renters due to the Southwest Christmas meltdown, Tony told all of us the situation up front and said he would do his very best to get everyone taken care of. He set expectations early and was very patient with everyone. We got our car and went on our way. Thanks Tony for the amazing job you did today, handling a very difficult and hectic situation!

Tony, the Avis employee who helped me with my rental experience, was professional, cordial and because of his high standards I will return to Avis the next time I need a rental car. He is a gem!

02/24/2019 - Saved the day with a rental car provisioned at a moment's notice and delivered to our office for an emergency trip to a customer site. Service doesn't get better than that.

10/09/20 Clean, safe, disinfected cars during Covid outbreak. The only place I trust during these times.

We've used this location twice due to car repairs. Both times the service was exceptional! Alway friendly, always works hard to take care of their customers. These guys have a customer for life after these experiences.

Tony is the manager here and he is always trying to accommodate the customer needs. He has helped me with many aspects during my course of multiple rentals with Avis. This is something, esp in the post-covid world considering the state of the rental car market.

And it's always a pleasure to rent from this location.

Web page kept picking up an AWD and time that wasn't mine. I entered it several times. When I thought it was correct and went to checkout it wasn't and I was billed an extra $153 which shouldn't have calculated based on my use. Since it was pre-paid the local Avis rep wasn't able to adjust. I am very VERY unhappy about the whole experience. I have been an avis customer for decades. Very Very unhappy about this and now know that I shouldn't every pre-pay. This should be zero stars.
Andrew Scott replied and NOTHING has been resolved. The local agency put in paperwork and it disappeared into the corporate void. Replied twice on email and not response. This goes to minus stars.

Had awesome experience with AVIS. It was very smooth process. Pick up at San Diego and drop at LA airport. Was able to enjoy my time with AVIS effective services. Will suggest to go with AVIS without any hesitation. It will be very time saving and smooth process. Also if possible get the preferred membership to use all services.

Booked online, arrived at the store front and they already had the car upfront facing out ready to roll. I dealt with Jake, he is a credit to Enterprise & a stellar customer service representative. 5 min, even with a glitch in my credit union credit card, I was on my way. He had respect and patience as I did some mobile banking and kindly waited aside. All in all a great experience in Poway

Our family had an exceptional experience renting from this location on Poway Rd. It was a busy holiday week and Tony made the experience seamless from pick up to drop off. He was very accommodating, personable, professional, and friendly. He was also diligent and efficient. He made our rental car experience amazing! He took great care of us. If you need a rental car stop by this location and ask for Tony. He is great!

Rental cars are tough to come by these days. The gentleman at the Poway office went out of his way to assist me and confirm the appropriate car for my needs. He was very very helpful and very very polite.

I reserved a full size vehicle and when I went to get the car, they did not have any full size car (on 8/13/2021).

I needed to change my pickup from 8am on the 9th of July to 4: 30 pm on 7/8 to allow for an early morning start. Making the change cost more than $100. I downsized to a compact car and prepaid to minimize the increase. Was not a satisfied customer!

Tony is great to work with! Always courteous and friendly. He knows his customers by their first name and great customer service. And he makes sure that you are taken care off. Can't ask for anything esle!
