Avis Car Rental

When we picked up the vehicle at the San Francisco airport we found it had several scratches and a dent in the left rear door. This was not a problem to use but we were disappointed to see that it was not new or well cared for. Later, during the trip we discovered that it had no GPS, the USBs were not working and also the front wheels were worn. This was a problem during the trip, especially the wheels since we had to make a long trip and they did not give us security.

However, the worst thing was that in the middle of the highway we activated the windshield wipers and it turned out that one of the two was broken, the motor that operated it worked but the metal part was broken and the rubber was loose. This caused both of them to stay hooked and it did not go down to its original position, which left us with no visibility and we had to stop. IT WAS A VERY DANGEROUS MOMENT! Fortunately we weren't going fast or doing any manoeuvre, but it did affect the trip and we got scared.

It is a shame that something as important as a car windshield wiper is not in good condition, which you need to drive since it cleans the glass and helps remove water in rain. If it is wrong it can cause an ACCIDENT.

Loved the team, Tes and Ryan made the process so smooth and easy. My first time renting a car and I will definitely be back again. Thank you guys for everything, the Mazda was great!

All employees I encountered, only caught Badraas name, were especially kind and efficient, will definitely rent from them again. They were very patient with other customers as well. Car was clean and process was smooth.

Look for another car rental place. Just got a call from them notifying me that they don't have a car for me - 3 days before my trip! This was on a reservation that I made more than a month ago. That's why you call them reservations, so they can prepare for it and have your car ready by then. But, I guess they're not aware of that concept. They can only give me a car if I agree to rent it for 3 more extra days than what I originally booked. I gave them a flat NO. So, they can give me a car but they want me to keep it longer and pay extra? What. A. Joke.

Avoid at all cost. The guy working here would NOT honor my discount code. Applied a penalty. Had to call customer service who sorted it in under 2 minutes and I got my money back but avoid the guy working here! Probably paid commision for every penalty he applies, circus.

Overall I had a positive experience with Avis as a company and left a good review for the guy in San Diego who I picked the car from. However this guy tried to scam me out of my money!

Company illegally contacted a reference under false defamatory pretenses by falsely disclosing a rental car was stolen, to references who are not on the rental contract then proceeded to harass references (I have screenshots), threatened to and incinuate that "hopefully the police dont get a hold of them", for a vehicle that was turneed in over a month ago, closed out, and paid for. Company failed repeatedly to identify themselves (via text) and agent engaging in harrassment via phone. This comes after this company and or its affiliates (avis/budget ect), illegally charged $450.00 (2-16-23) for a rental that was turned in 1-30-23 (that was actually due 1-31-23) while another agent "janice" left a voicemail and contacted me (2-27-23) regarding the same rental that was turned in 1-30-23. (Preferred customer status). This company is a scam, rude, violates laws, is defamatory and unprofessional. Im also notifying outside governing agencies regarding this. I have also informed this company of this to which the unknown agent replied "ok". Stay away from this company and its affiliates (avis/budget/ect). I also have the texts/screenshots/voicemails/receipts/statements/to further verify my allegations.
