Avis Car Rental

Sulaiman was awesome! He made the rental process seamless; the customer experience was great and he was extremely patient with my questions. I have rented a lot of cars and have this experience is one that stands out!

Picked up rental, they marked my contract "full fuel". Got vehicle from their building rooftop and noted that fuel tank clearly showed 7/8 tank.went back into their office and told them, the lady and guy at the desk both waved me away saying " yeah yeah we are aware". When returning vehicle to LAX airport they charged me $16.50 for fuel when I gave it back with same 7/8 tank of fuel, saying the contract says "full tank". Beware of this location, the staff just waves you away and were not very forthcoming during the pick up process.

Sulaiman is quite the professional, he assisted me better than any car rental employee ever has in over two decades of renting cars. I originally went to Enterprise because the body shop had someone there that could pick me up, which saved me from walking or an Uber expense, but once I arrived there they couldn’t help me for another 3 hours! So I walked to Avis and met Sulaiman and he was extremely helpful and had me upgraded (for free) and driving off in a luxury vehicle within 30 minutes. The car itself was perfect and I couldn’t have had a better experience. Thank you, Sulaiman!

Excellent. The welcome at the Avis branch in Long Beach was perfect. The vehicle was fine.

If I could give this place no stars, I would! I’ve never experienced such HORRIBLE customer service! Starting with its representative “Winston” who clearly had no intention of helping me. I needed to exchanged my car for another one, since the EV I received on the first place was not fully charged, and needed a new car, ANY CAR, to get back to LAX for my flight. After hearing Winston, the customer service representative tell me multiple times, he can’t help me and that it wasn’t his problem (with his arms crossed) I realized for him, I wasn’t a valued customer. I had to drive to another location about 25 minutes to finally receive the help I needed. Unfortunately, that customer service left a bitter taste and I’m truly disappointed to see employees like Winston represent Avis.

The older gentlemen who was working there was rude and was for sure discriminating. We had a coupon from work and he treated us as if he is doing some kind of favour on us by giving us the car. We just asked him generally if he had a bigger car and he gave us attitude as if we asked for his kidney. We saw him how nice he was with everybody else.
Management should look into this as it can cause them some trouble some day for sure.

We go on road trips often and the cars Avis provides are very reliable! Soloman in Downtown Long Beach has always gone above and beyond for my family and I! We can tell how much appreciation he has for his customers and because of this, we will continue to visit his location whenever the need arises!

Horrible experience. The staff was very rude. He didn’t let us finish a sentence as he cut us off. He was arrogant and at one point he raised his voice at us.

This location is run by crooks. Just got a car and after driving it realized the seat belts dont work, the car does not run well and feels it was recovered after a car accident.

When we picked up a can at LAX, there were about 30 people in line waiting to get their reserved car. There were over 20 stations in the Avis car rental building and 4 agents helping. They need to hire more agents. We also had to wait a half hour for the Avis shuttle to take us to the building while 10 to 15 enterprise shuttles stopped to pick up their customers. I will not use Avis car rental again! Wish there was a choice of zero stars!

Excellent customer service. The two gentlemen James and Ahmed were great. Highly recommended: m. Will definitely comeback!

Overpriced.
Not a full tank of gas
Dirty, musty smell, literally blood stains on the seats.
Charged 20 dollars for gas even though I returned with more gas and showed them
Went through hell and back just to get the 20 dollars back
Month later and I’m still getting hidden fees from them in the mail.

Returned car to Long Beach garage, 4th floor. Return agent told me the elevator was broken and to leave on first floor. 1 space available, agent at return desk was rude when I gave him space #, told be to return to 4th floor. I smiled and left keys. Budget has return at Westin Hotel across the street. Next time it will be Budget.

Bad treatment, racists
He behaved well with all the customers and when he heard me speak Spanish he made a bad face at me and treated me badly at all times.
He didn't even turn to see me when I asked him if it was all done with my rent.

The problem I have with rental car companies is that their daily rate is way to high. For example $113 per day base rate for a RAV4. Also you never get the car you request. Giving a bigger suv that cost you more in gas is not the answer. The situation will not change because these companies don’t have enough cars in their fleets.

Great experience with AVIS in Long Beach CA for pick up of a car coming from my cruise and returning to the Mirage in Las Vegas was easy as pie!
