Avik Lake Forest is my all time go to car rental center. The staff here is super friendly and always accommodating.

This week, I needed a rental for my son’s birthday trip, who loves red cars. I showed up early and Dani was in-charge that time. I requested to get a red car to fulfill my son’s wishlist. To my surprise, he obliged and gave me a shiny Red Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro, a car we dreamed of owning. Thank you Dani and Thank you Avis!

I was extremely impressed with the help received from Bassan and how organized and smooth the rental process went. I would definitely rent a car from Avis without a second thought.

Immaculately maintained newer models at a reasonable price. Quick friendly pickup at LAS and equally pleasant drop-off at Lake Forest, CA location. Good experience from end-to-end.

On June 20,2023 I rented a Kia Sportage from Lake Forest California. It was a 6 day rental with return in Bozeman Montana, at the airport. Day 1 we drove to Las Vegas, Nevada. We stayed the evening and and left day 2, destination Bryce Canyon. After driving 2.5 hours we noticed the check engine light came on. We pulled over and called emergency roadside service. We were in St. George Utah. We stopped at the Visitator/Conference Center where we thought it would be safe. We spoke to Xavier who explained our options. We could wait for a a tow truck to come from Las Vegas and tow us back and then get another car in Las Vegas, 5 hours to get back to where we were currently at our we could got to a repair shop, have car repaired and possibly get reimbursed. Neither option was a appealing so I asked if we could think about it. Xavier said he would put notes in my account since he said I wouldn't be able to reach him directly. Again, he confirmed notes in the note field. After thinking about it we opted to go back to Vegas. We called back and provided our account number and to our surprise, no notes in my account. I explained the situation again and was put on hold. After 35 minutes of holding from female representative who was researching options we got disconnected and no call call back. We called back again, put on hold and disconnected. Now my cousin and I were both on hold, she with a representative and me with a supervisor from roadside assistance. We were both on hold for over 40 minutes and both disconnected.

We finally got another person and he suggested we try local avis dealership in St. George. We went to the local dealership in St. George and the experience was absolutely the worst. We are two African American customers, we walk in to a predominantly white community Avis store in Utah. The words that came out of his mouth as we walked in "What do you want". The most off putting welcome I ever heard. I held back from responding inappropriately. I told him we had an issue and we would wait until our turn to discuss it. After waiting 30 minutes we opted to leave. We called back again and got another woman who After explaining our situation for now the 8th time put us on hold. I asked for a commitment that if we got disconnected she would call me back. She told me she located a car at St. George Airport and a tow truck would take us there. I got a text confirming all of this. A car would be at the airport. We waited 25 minutes and the tow truck arrived and took us to the airport. I was told to show text to representative at airport. I showed text to the agent and she said they had over 15 broken Avis cars and they sportage could be dropped off there but they had no cars available for us. I said but I have this text. She said they send those texts all the time without checking with airport,

Now we were stuck at St. George airport. After pleading and pleading with agent she said she found us a car. We started in Vegas at 630 am and now 7 hours later we got a car. At this point my cousin who flew out from Atlanta for this trip was too upset and decided she was going home. We turned around and drove 8 hours straight back to California. During that time, we canceled our flight back from Bozeman Montana to John Wayne airport. We had to forfeit our flight cost and my cousin changed her flight to Atlanta at a $35.00 change fee.
When we returned the car back at Lake Forest CA, the agent was very understanding.

Avis roadside service is terrible. St. George Utah agent should be terminated. Communication with customers is so Sub standard.

I await a response and any efforts to right this terrible Avis experience.

Local Avis dealer. Good service and lower prices than at the airports. Low hassle location.
