Ayres Hotel Vista / Carlsbad

My husband and I stayed here last year. We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel is very clean and well taken care of. The staff were all very kind and courteous. Breakfast is included and they had a lot of options such as eggs, bacon, bagels, etc. They also make some breakfast items to order. The locations is also great right off a main road and close to other shops and areas. We would absolutely stay here again!

In the era of nickle and diming, this Ayres location stood out for generous breakfasts, complimentary parking and ev charging, and great service. Thank you for your hospitality!

I have stayed here twice in 2 months. My son lives in San Diego I was looking for a nice affordable pet friendly (and pet affordable) safe place to stay and this hotel has not disappointed.the Hotel staff are really nice and helpful. The breakfast was delicious.the rooms are comfortable.love that they don't charge a lot to bring your pet was so happy I could bring her to see my son and was affordable for me. We will always stay there if possible when in the area. I did have a slight issue with making our reservations I left a message for a Manger and received a call from the General Manager he was awesome such a nice man and the issue was taken care of and I was totally impressed that someone called me back. Thank you for the Great Service!

I will say everything is good here. The service the room the location. But unfortunately I will never come back. The biggest problem here is you can’t get rest or one second peace, unless everyone go to sleep not make any move. You can hear super loud step noise people going up and down even the big noise make the building shaking and super loud sound of water, people talking, door slamming everything. Never had experience like this. I am surprised.

Room carpet was filthy. I only walked bare foot in the room.when I stepped into the shower, the water turned black! This happened twice.

Ayres are typically great. I'm sure this was an anomaly.

Breakfast were great except the hash browns, that weren't.

One of the best 4 star hotels we have stayed at. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Very quiet area, parking is easy. Just great stay!

Don't want to brag about it too much, give others ideas. This place is first class. A little off the beaten path, and the parking was full at 2am when we rolled in, but parked in an electric car spot. The room was new, clean, and spacious. Check out at noon was appreciated. The breakfast was delicious, especially the made to order omelettes. Brought children they enjoyed the pool/spa.

Where do I start? This location and the staff is amazing! The fact that they offer early check-in, an open bar and pizza bar in the evening to night, delicious breakfast, and the cleanliness/ambiance of the rooms and hotel itself. This is the ideal hotel stay I imagined for a quick trip. Will 100% come back next time I visit and will be recommending this location to friends and family. Big shout out to their staff and especially their general manager, Carl Holmes. He welcomed us warmly and made sure we were taken care of. Thank you Ayres Hotel Vista/Carlsbad!

Shame on you. Ayres was meant to offer unpaid work learning experience for kids with disabilities, but instead of assigning the tasks agreed upon, they took advantage and had our kids on their hands and knees scrubbing baseboards.

It's a bit far from downtown San Diego, but it's newly built, so the rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. You can order a homemade omelet for breakfast. Having a self-service laundry room is also a plus. Highly recommended!

Jaylen the bartender created an infused drink he is calling "Pomrosevodka Fizz". It looked beautiful and very tasty. It was refreshing. He is looking at introducing/experimenting infused drinks. This was his first experiment with this particular drink. Hooray Jaylen. The rooms were good although we were in a room next to the laundry and I could tell.

Great stay. Pet friendly for a small fee. But well worth the comfort. Delish breakfast with all basics but a fresh omelet station and a bar (6pm to 10pm) great after a stressful work day

Great stay. Best sleep I've had in a while. Comfortable beds. Very clean room. Excellent customer service with all staff. Nice breakfast but hot buffet area a bit cramped. They need an extra person in dining room to wipe off tables. Only staff there was cooking omelets. Guests were clearing own tables and weren't wiped down for next guests to use. Hopefully they were just short staffed.

Motel 6 doesn't have free omelettes but the rooms are probably just as clean as this place. Checked in on a Saturday afternoon to a uncleaned disgusting room. Spit up sunflower seeds all over the bed area and just generally dirty.

Mentioned issue to front desk and when I returned hours later room was still in same condition.

Several busy days were I left first thing in the morning and got back late at night and house keeping performed cleanings of the room at least twice. I know this because of the fresh towels and made bed. But the room still stayed dirty, past guest's spit up sunflower seeds still never vacuumed up. Spoke to a manager about the continued problems who then had to go up and clean the room himself. Poor guy.

Hated this hotel. Disgusting room (218), flooded janky elevator, and just generally unfriendly staff. Not sure how anyone has had positive experiences here.

2 stars for the fresh made omelettes.

It's about 12 min I believe from Legoland but we enjoyed our stay, pool is a bit small and hot tub was warm. Rooms were clean with USB connections available. The best part was the bar and staff we could not believe how friendly and happy the bartender was to make us such special drinks. Small breakfast bar had a little bit of everything. There is also a water bottle refill station in the lobby. Will definitely return.

My first time staying at this hotel, friendly staff and hotel was super clean the staff friendly and the breakfast excellent. I will definitely comeback again. You find everything here, a gym to workout, pool, seating area and you can go for a nice walk or run. Seriously a hidden jam
