Azusa Police Department

This department needs to do a better job and be well-mannered. I teach and it’s ridiculous the amount of manners the phone operators and dispatchers lack. No one is above no one. While there’s people getting shot, stabbed, speeding, drunk driving, harassed, stalked, car theft, hit and runs, etc… The policemen are more concerned with parking violations and expired tabs. I will be appealing because my tabs were damaged since there was an attempt to steal them reason why I hadn’t updated my tabs with new ones. Its not that they aren’t paid. Its simply an easy ticket for these officers who apparently have nothing better to do. Its ridiculous I have family and friends who work in the LAPD were officers are good in communication despite the chaos. Yet Azusa being a small city they can’t do their jobs which is to actually keep the city safe. Ridiculous.

A little slow, but it is a very small department. Hopefully they can hire more officer's.

Corrupt and dangerous police department. They usually do it sometimes but too much corrupt them to get them more than one star.

Officers initiate contact with citizens and refuse to identify themselves.

Terrible dispatcher, very rude and seems to just want to get off the phone. Few officers really keep the standard and continue to be great people overall but some people in the department ruin it. It’s very sad that I don’t feel comfortable dealing with the people who’re supposed to serve and protect. I hope you guys get to working on it or something to help with everyone’s concerns.

They are good at going to calls but they really need to pick up there speed and need to do more traffic enforcement

Please HIRE better dispatchers. Why are you guys NOT LISTENING TO THESE COMMENTS! Why are you not managing your guys department correctly! Please fix a EASY situation and Please do a internal investigation. Countless people have said that your guys dispatcher is VERY DISRESPECTFUL! These posts are over a year old! Please go back and listen to tapes that she responded to. You can clearly tell this person does not like her job and not care about the community. Want a better review? Pretty sure you guys know what the problem is.
