B E Wok & Sushi reviews
21My husband and I like the food. He usually orders Mongolian Beef and I order a Bento box. The customer service is never good but tolerated. Tonight we ended up leaving because nobody would acknowledge our presence. I am usually the patient one when it comes to waiting at a restaurant, however, tonight was horrible.
This place rarely disappoints they rarely have off days. I've been coming here for years. I had my first date with my bf here and this is prob our favorite place to go hands down especially for sushi. Fair prices. Good portions. Always kind and great staff. Great service. Owners always there being a boss maybe that's why it's so great. I've tried a lot on this menu I can't really say there's anything I wasn't a fan of maybe the curry sushi just cus it wasn't my thing. God I love miso soup I'll probably forever have good memories of this place with so much of my family and friends
Very good food both Chinese and sushi. Had the Tiger Roll, normally I get the Volcano Roll. Both are excellent. My wife got the lunch box, rice, teriyaki chicken, salad and something else. She loved it and was stuffed! Had Calimari as an appetizers.
Great looking restaurant from the inside. The staff always seems professional and friendly. Normally I would stop there mostly for the honey walnut shrimp. And I love fried rice I can eat my weight in rice. But the dinner I had tonight was good and the waitress was polite, helpful, and almost a reason to eat there. I was treated very well. I'm going to say that tonight's experience was very enjoyable
It has been amazing for years and lately they are making very similar plates and recreating the sauce unsuccessfully. Orange chicken and general chicken should not taste the same; neither should cashew and Kung pao. Yet it does. No spice, no flavor, just a change of nuts.
Excellent food and service! I am visiting the area and they have a banner voted best in the area for 14 years running. I can see why! We did not try the sushi but the sushi bar looked really good too. Egg drop soup, vegetable egg rolls and sesame chicken were all excellent. If you like Asian food you’ll enjoy this restaurant.
Came again after re-opening and had to lower the stars from three. Not served what I asked, veggies were cold as if sitting for a while and bland… no flavor to them, the shrimp with veggies was definitely not anything to call home about. Worst of all, i got my food 15 minutes after ordering, my sons sushi roll took over 30 minutes to be served. Not happy and do not recommend… sadly, not many other choices in Sonora.
I think this happens to be the only place in town to have sushi (besides safeway) but i would avoid the sushi. The fish slice is paper thin and the rolls have way too much rice. I think safeway makes better sushi though they dont have the variety. The chinese food is good, i would recommend, but only certain plates. I was so hoping this would be a place i would visit a few times a week, but unfortunately that is not the case. Oh, and you need to be prepared that your order will take a long time to come to your table.
Normally my wife and I love this place. Sadly, seems everything here has gone a little down hill. First off, one of our serving plates came to us still dirty. Our waiter gave us the wrong drinks. And the food, well, sort of lacked taste. It was borderline bland.and cold. I got the combination chow mein and the center of it was luke warm at best. Almost seemed like yesterdays chow mein? !
Eat there all the time great food. I do not eat sushi but are friends say it also is great. Try this place for great food.
Great food, I love the flavor of the orange chicken and the rolls are so delicious. My personal favorite is the volcano roll because it is so filling and the sauce is good.
I really enjoy having the Edameme with soy sauce, and an iced tea. My new menu item. It's a very popular place. The staff is great and service is good, they do get busy during the afternoon.
Pretty darn good for mountain sushi, the curry roll is rather.unique.the beef and brocoli is on on point however. Overall a great place for Chinese and Japanese cuisine.
Absolute Garbage!
I've been visiting Be Wok for many years and I have to tell you, this place has gone down hill big time! I picked up a to-go order tonight that included 2 Tuna rolls, seaweed salad and and various other things. When I opened the box of rolls, I was completely dumbfounded. The Tuna rolls had such paper thin strips (of what I think was fish) that I could literally see through it. I showed my wife and I could see her face through the piece of fish. Now, we all know companies blame the supply chain issues, yadda, yadda, but come on, this was a joke. To add insult to injury, they raised their prices significantly. I will gladly pay more money for more fish.not more money for less fish! Get it together, Be Wok! Wait, why would I care? I'm not going back.
Food was delish and fast. Only thing service kinda sucked I get it there closing our waiter was eating dinner while our food sat also had for take out Chinese food was al see I foods!
Excellent california roll. All food was perfect. Tender, juicy pieces of chicken served with sticky delicious steamed rice. Pineapple shrimp were awesome.
Great place to eat raw chicken California rolls were probably made yesterday, dry and hard rice…
They did not charge for my dinner, as they shouldn’t as it was raw chicken! We did pay for my husband dinner which was underwhelming and left. Do not recommend, go anywhere else other than this place.
Not the best sushi in the world, since living in Hawaii I can tell some of their fish has been previously frozen. But it is the best in town.
Food is delicious and service was friendly and professional. Prices are fair for quality of food. Sushi is wonderful, tasty and fresh.
Sushi was very subpar. Way too much rice and a sliver of fish on the top and fake crab on the inside. But the Chinese first food was even worse. I ordered Kung pow shrimp scallop for $15 and I don’t know about anybody else but I’ve never had any Kung Pao dish consist of 99.9% zucchini and celery. Where is the bell pepper or the onion or the water chestnuts or the peanuts?
