Bahia Resort Hotel reviews
16Not for the price! We paid 1157 for 2 nights in a room that we thought was on the ground floor but ended up being on the 4th floor right below the ballroom. It was loud. No one came to the room and changed the sheets, to take out the trash or bring clean towels. I mean motel 6 gives that service, I was expecting that from this over priced hotel. We had to ask for towels and they brought them up 30 minutes later. Their food is all incredibly over priced. Any activities are third party and the lobby offers no help in trying to figure out how to sign up for those activities. It’s was all just incredibly over priced for receiving very little in return. I guess if I had to point out anything nice it would be how close they are to mission beach.
Great location, very family friendly. Has a private beach with cabanas and lounge chairs. They offer a paddle boat tour around the bay. We really enjoyed our stay.
The carpet in our room is so filthy, you can't walk without shoes on.
Pretty sure that is why the room smells.
Most coolest place I've ever stayed at best up to date features in accessories and hospiskirt off the charts recommend it for the whole famaily
Sadly my stay here was not up to satisfactory conditions! My leg was cut by glass on first entrance to room on first night. I reported it but the girls at the front desk did not know protocol for sending to management. I did not get the cleaning to make sure there was no more glass for 2 days then the just left the vacuum at my door til after midnight and wanted me to clean it myself. Each time I went to request for them to bring a microwave, fresh towels or toiletries for room, the request were not met. I ask for them to completed while we were out for the days so that safety protocols could be followed due to Covid. Management was not good (Aaron) at following up or putting notes in systematic process to make sure the things were completed. I was very disappointed in staffing knowledge of handling safety measures of guest.
Like being in Hawaii, totally relaxing, beautiful grounds, friendly and efficient staff…ask for Oscar when making your reservation…he is the best!
Their policies are horrible. My husband and I took two different cars (car seats and luggage) and we had to find street parking …. On a Tuesday that’s no big deal.
But how un-empathetic are they to not take into consideration special circumstances.
It was a TUESDAY and their parking lot was empty and yet they were unwilling to view the situation and make an exception.
****side note for their one star review. I heard a convo where a customer was requesting to check out early and her reimbursed and they said you’re sol. So the family stayed on property with covid.
I used to stay here as a kid and now brought my family here. A great place for a reasonable price. Close to the beach, restaurants and attractions. Kids loved seeing the seals which is something I loved as a kid too.
When we come back to the area the Bahia will be on our list.
This is by far my favorite place I've ever stayed at in California. Great amenities, friendly staff, free boat ride to their sister resort. It's right on the water too with a quiet private beach. Minutes distance to Mission Beach, Belmont park, shops and restaurants.
Staff was great. Price point is too high for a hotel that definitely shows it's age. I wouldn't stay here again unless price drops or they upgrade.
Love staying here everytime. Great staff and service. And right on the water! All their rooms are different and interesting.
The location was great, right on the water. It us nice to be able to go outside and you are already at the beach. Great place to go paddle boarding.
Always our go to resort. Can't beat location for the price. Best of bay and beach, walk to almost anything. Lots more action near Catamaran, but, we like the quieter Bahia.
This resort is located at the perfect spot - ocean, seaworld, & boardwalk are all super close! It was well kept and everyone had great service! They even have seals! It has a beautiful little area with a sweet area to sit! I've been here twice now, and I will definitely be making a return!
Hotel is way over priced for what you get. Not even close to a resort level status. More like a motel from the room I stayed in. If you do stay here insist on getting a room near the lobby. Our room was a pretty long walk and nobody even offered to help with luggage. Definitely will not be staying here ever again!
Stayed here for my sisters 18th birthday. Got into room it was stuffy smelled like smoke. We experienced a cockroach problem. Also we had to cancel plans due to use waking up at a certain time to all shower and there was no electricity. Called desk they advised me that they city turns of the electricity or something weird like that I’ve never heard of that. The view was nice we purchased the most expensive room. I don’t recommend. My experience was not to good unfortunately and that sucks because the view was beautiful but the bad outweighs the good.
