Baker's Drive-Thru reviews
17 One of the most underrated SoCal restaurants. If done right, I think it stands with In N Out, and maybe might be better to some.
For starters, the burgers between the two are very similar, but have a unique flavor. They both consist of the same ingredients (smash patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, special sauce on a toasted bun) but manage to both be amazing in their own way.
The fries are a hit or miss at Bakers. If done right (hot, crispy and just the right amount of salt) they, again, shine as bright as In N Outs. However, while In N Outs fries have a more consistent texture, Bakers does occasionally give out soggy, colder fries, especially when ordering larger portions like the Papa Meal or the Frynormous.
Where Bakers stands above In N Out for me is the variety. In N Out is a classic because it does a couple things. They keep it simple and consistent. Bakers has a a lot more variety, but the trade off is you occasionally get poorer quality food (only on slow days/ times, usually).
Bakers has an entire separate menu that is a sort of Californian twist on Tex-Mex fast food. I'm not the biggest fan, myself, but to each their own. The variety I love is their shakes.
In N Out has 3 simple flavors: strawberry, vanilla, chocolate. Bakers has those, and things like mango, Oreo, Butterfinger, and my undoubtable favorite, CHERRY. Each is fantastic, and each is perfect for fry dipping.
I grew up next door to a Bakers, and it will always be on par, and sometimes surpass In N Out to me. This is a TRUE Southern California diamond-in-the-rough, and it should stay that way.
In N Out will always be its own art form, and a symbol of So Cal to many, but it's sadly no longer a true So Cal classic, like Bakers.
I love going to Bakers for their tacos bc their huge, but this time, they were small. When I asked for lots of hot sauce, half of it was ketchup. I will try once more, perhaps it was just the crew earlier.
Burgers and fries are always good. Baker's is an awesome place. The Baker Buddies (employees) are always nice
Love the fries, dbl Baker's, Santa Fe chicken, shakes. I just wish when I asked for extra lettuce, I actually get extra lettuce, preferably green, and not a few extra chips of the crunchy white middle. Only happened a few times.
Bakers in Victorville on Bear Valley Baker's has a public restroom as handicap parking drive thru I love their chicken only I like there Taco burgers good food fast food
Better than most fast food places! And they have vegetarian alternatives. Unlike anywhere else.
The food was great. The service was great as well. They were just too expensive for my family. I probably won't be eating there again.
I stopped there and got my daughter a Boca Burger and I was not happy that you can't get it as a meal anymore you have to pay separate for the fries and drink.
Very quick. Order change at the last minute handled very nicely. Professional staff. Thank you very much.
Go on Tuesday for Taco Tuesday, the tacos are delightful. Ground Beef or Veggie Ground, both are delicious! And they're a dollar + bigger then the competitors.
Service was quick~but very incomplete! Return to Bakers so they completed my order! Need to make orders like customers order and sauce is yuk
Bakers in Hesperia, CA has the coolest store manager, his name is Mike. Go on Taco Tuesday for $1.00 Ground Beef and Veggie Tacos.
The manager Ana is very rude and argumentative. The cashier Maria is just a straight out liar, rude and snappy. They are very SLOW at night in the drive thru. We only ordered two meals and it took almost 20 minutes. We asked Maria how much longer and she said that she was the only one doing the orders. We looked and said wow it's always only one person at the drive thru window. She only had to take money and fix drinks. How many people do it take for that?
This place is the best. Try the Papa Barbacoa burrito. Make sure to have one of their shakes also n
Cashier was helpful including telling me what was inside my food. Manager was rude having very bad rbf. Rude to her employees giving dirty looks and just walking around not helping. Someone from corporate showed up and then she decided to work.
I paid for cherry flavoring in my milkshake, didn't get it. Baker's promises a nice thick milkshake, mine was watery. I have been to a lot of Baker's restaurants and this is one I'm not coming back to. I have two stars because at least their bathroom was clean.
It took 10 minutes for them to make 2 regular size milk shakes, they didn't put in the cherry flavoring we asked and paid for. We stop here again
