Today I purchased a vehicle from Hyundai Bakersfield dealership from Jack, Fabiola, Carlos and Betty. What a team recommend them highly. Thanks again

Always a great experience! Service department is fast, efficient, and comfortable. Salesmen and staff are welcoming and helpful. This is my second time buying from Hyundai and it was even better than the first time!

First time at Bakersfield Hyundai. I went in for a transmission fluid change and some maintenance, wheel balancing, and just regular work up. I already knew some things that the car needed (new tail lights, top off wiper fluid, lower than expected oil, etc). I was going to do these myself after I had it serviced. Anyway, I got it in and they told me 2 hours wait time. No big deal. I waited almost 4 hours. No courtesy to even tell me they were behind or to update me. I literally had to ask the front desk what was going on with my car. Turns out it was already ready and no one communicated it to me and just left me waiting for 2 extra hours. I'm very patient, so again no big deal. I was expecting a quick explanation or walk-around of the car and then explaining what they did and what needs work, but nope. Didn't get any of that. I got a paper I was told to sign, sent outside and the mechanic who pulled it up gave me the keys without saying one word. No mention of the things the car needed, which would've been found out with a regular car workup. I even told them specifically that I needed wheel balancing, but they didn't do that either. This leads me to believe they didn't even check the car. At this point I was a bit irritated, but I was just happy to get home. Not even 15 minutes on my way to my house, the car suddenly stops in the middle of the freeway. I had enough momentum to pull over and stop at a busy intersection. I called up Hyundai and told them what had happened. I had to verbally coach the representative to offer me a tow back to the dealership. After it was towed back, I was given a 3 week estimate for an engine replacement that was apparently covered by the manufacturer. This was on July 6th. I called 2 weeks after and received the same estimate. On August 2nd, I received a text message explaining that the parts have come in and NOW they were going to start working on the car. No call in between for updates. No clarification that they needed to get parts first before they were going to work on the car. Just the bare minimum of a text message almost a month later. I received another text message on August 24th telling me that the car was ready for pick up and I picked it up the same day.

I have a gut feeling that the Hyundai dealership completely messed up my car due to gross negligence (a potentially dangerous one at that) and covered it up saying it's a manufacturer recall of the engine and that it just seized "coincidentally" right after I had it serviced by them. They didn't even ask for the service records. Mind you my car had no previous mechanical issues prior to my visit at Hyundai. A simple online lookup of my VIN showed no open recalls on my engine. And even if my gut feeling is incorrect, it still does not excuse the amalgamation of what had occurred.

I do have to give credit to Hyundai for replacing the engine and giving me a care rental free of charge.

This doesn't change or forgive what had happened. Overall, customer service is abysmal. Customer communication is abysmal. Car repair is abysmal. Courtesy is lackluster. I spoke with a representative when I came to pick my car up to ask if I had to come back for services at the dealership so the engine warranty is covered and I was assured I just needed to keep my service records and they will accept it if anything happens to the engine again. That gave me huge relief because I WILL NOT be coming back to this dealership again. For service or to buy a car. I will also advise anyone else to steer clear from Bakersfield Hyundai at all costs.

I'm very disappointed. From the moment I came in I felt second class, unimportant and overlooked. I try to avoid giving any negative reviews as I like to support businesses whenever I can. But I feel that I should share my experience so it can give Bakersfield Hyundai insight and hopefully can avoid other customers from having the same experience.

The best in town! Hands down. Joey and David are very caring and efficient. This is why my vehicles, (all 3) always are only touched by them. Best and most reliable customer service in town.

DAVID CLARK COME THRU! I had been without my car for over 2 weeks and was STRESSED! The collision place told me they had an appointment for my car to be taken to Bakersfield Hyundai but the appointment wasn’t for another week I called Hyundai servicing, spoke to David, told him my dilemma and he really came thru for me! Got my car back the next day! The guy is a BOSS! Thank you thank you thank you!

Just confused how Hyundai implements their PROMISE of a free maintenance policy of 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.
I thought that was clear to me and yet at 24k oil change service, Hyundai Bakersfield already charged me for the service.
Felt disappointed with the broken promise, but apart from that, it’s good the car’s running well and looks like a good machine.

I bought a $20,000 Hyundai Elantra less than 5 months ago and the battery died and they will not replace it they want $280 for a new battery when they're getting over $20,000 from me. Their customer service is a joke. I speak to one of their sales managers she was so rude. When you spend over $20,000 on a car you expect it to last a while before you have to start replacing part's.

I went in for an oil change and to get my air conditioner serviced as it stopped working on Thursday. I was told it would be ready the next day as the compressor it needed was in stock. However, as it turned out it wasn’t and it took until the next Monday to get my car repaired. David and Tyler did their best and I did finally get a rental to help me through the weekend, but it was a more stressful experience trying to find out what was going on than it usually has been getting my car serviced. Also, my sticker indicating when my next oil change is due was not updated so I still need to call to get that information so I won’t forget to service my vehicle. I usually give 5 stars but will have to go with 4 this time. I do appreciate the cordial service and my air conditioning is doing great.

Service took 2 hours which is fine because I left it and planned to come back. Upon looking at my list of services completed I saw that my drivers side windshield wiper had been replaced. It hadn’t. There is usually a complimentary outside wash and that wasn’t done either. I’ve been going to this service department for two years, I planned on continuing even after my warranty was up. That won’t be the case anymore.

Please do a favor to your self, search search this dealer advertise discount prices from the factory and from the dealer but when you show up they don’t honor the advertisement not even discounts from factory that others offer w/o a problem, if you shop around and look other dealers a little out of Bakersfield you will save thousands, sales people don’t have proper training on electric cars keep this post in mind and you will see, don’t waste your time

Bakersfield Hyundai is the best! They made the process of buying a new car really easy. The salesman’s name was Phil. He was able to answer all of my questions. The financing offer Joe was also very helpful and explained the process and loan conditions well. You can’t find a better car with a great warranty and features for the price in Bakersfield.
