Bakersfield Kids' Dentistry and Orthodontics

We are currently seeking an alternative dental provider for our daughter and we will not return to this office. Despite a pre-scheduled appointment for my daughter’s routine teeth cleaning, we encountered a challenging situation. Our daughter, who is autistic, wore a face mask as a precaution due to her being sick two weeks prior to the appointment. Our daughter mention to the receptionist that she was sick however she was not at the time of the appointment. What my daughter meant to say was that she had been sick weeks prior and that is why we had to reschedule her previous appointments. Unfortunately, the receptionist displayed condescension and rudeness, insisting that our daughter couldn't be seen due to her “supposed illness” because she would get everyone sick. Despite clearly explaining the timeline of my daughter being sick two weeks prior and the preventive measure of the mask, the receptionist insisted on rescheduling us. Despite my persistence, we were eventually see. It's worth noting that the receptionist, who herself was unmasked, was sick herself and kept coughing.

My son had an appointment today Wednesday, November 22nd and the doctor is not in due to a family matter. No call was made to me to reschedule. I was informed Heather called all the clients for this matter and even left voicemails. Ladies in the office, please take into consideration the frustration when my husband shows up and we see the sign below. He had this day off for this reason and now you assume we can take off December 8th, my new appointment day. Notations are needed in your computer system to double check your work when this happens again. Happy Holidays!

It was my first time there with my 3yr.old daughter. Both receptionist were very kind and efficient. We did everything online prior to arriving for our appointment and the wait was less than 20 mins. Malynn, the dental assistant was amazing with my daughter. Normal hesitant in that environment, Malynn engaged my daughter and made her extremely comfortable to the point that my daughter enjoyed the experience. As a parent I appreciated the clean and extremely child friendly environment and staff. Highly recommended!

My wife and I started taking our kids to this practice based on the recommendation of a close friend and the only regret we have is that we didn’t take them there sooner. The staff are amazing and incredibly friendly. The dentist and the hygienist are very sweet and patient with the kids. My son has sensory issues and does not like when someone else is cleaning his teeth but they are so patient with him and work around his discomfort to get the job done. The wait times are always very minimal and they have many accommodations to keep the kids entertained and relaxed while they get their teeth cleaned.

The Dental Assistant Nicole that cleaned my daughter’s teeth was such a sweetheart. She was kind and patient and made sure my daughter was okay and comfortable the entire time. The only reason this review isn’t getting a 5 star is because of the wait time to be seen. Last time we were there we waited over an hour and this time it was about 45 minutes to be seen.

My 3 children come here and see Dr. E he is absolutely amazing with them my youngest is 3 and needed treatment and he was so gental and helped him stay calm during the procedure I am so happy I chose this office for my childrens care

My daughter has Autism and I was very worried as in how she was going to do, but was amazed with Yesenias care. Nicole and Adrianna made the whole family feel welcomed and comfortable. Thank you!

I called in for my daughter who was experiencing tooth ache. Hey appointment was 2 months ahead but they were able to squeeze us in. The service was fast my daughter didn't complain. Experience was great

My daughter has been a patient here for over 2 years. Every visit/check up/exam has been nothing short of phenomenal. Very informative and receptive to questions and concerns I have for her. From the front desk to the assistants everyone is friendly professional and gentle with my daughter. Never any hiccups with insurance or random charges showing up. Clean office and exam rooms. Couldn’t have lucked out with a better dentist and staff. If you’re looking for a dentist for your little ones. Look no further!

I love every single doctor at this establishment. My son has been coming here for his braces and Dr. Partamian is amazing. HOWEVER, I agree with the previous comment the front desk can be very rude. A lot of their excuses are either they are short staffed or there was a change somewhere that we were not notified about. If you are late even 5 minutes they wont let you see a doctor. Otherwise, this place would be 5 stars.

I love the doctors I saw here. They are absolutely the best I've seen. However, one particular individual at the front desk is particularly rude and condescending, second guessing the doctors decisions every single time and telling the patient they have no reason to be there for an appointment she herself scheduled for me. Can you make this place better please?

I agree with the earlier comments. The dental staff is amazing and does such a fantastic job. I had 3 visits canceled in a row, one of which was scheduled with a dentist that doesn't even see kids for my 7 year old. Very frustrating and I hope you guys figure out the front office scheduling.

By far the best experience, my daughters have had at a dentist after being traumatized at another office. All the staff was super friendly from the time we walked in to the time we checked out. Both dental assistants were really sweet and patient. My oldest was so scared she started crying while waiting for the dentist, but Yesenia made her feel safe and explained the whole process. She was so sweet, patient, and very caring.

The staff is so kind and polite. The wait was short, they saw and treated us quickly. I had 4 kids all at once, ages 2-13 and the staff was great to all of them.

Maylynn, Adrianna, and Esmer are the best dealing with kids. They have so much patience, and know exactly what to say and do to make it as easy as possible for kids.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Dr. Shergill and her assistant Maylynn were awesome! I have a 2yr old who had never been to the dentist before and the patience and care they gave my baby was everything! The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful also. We will definitely be back!
