15 The worst ever. Stay away. Used them to finance a cosmetic machine then the pandemic hit NYC and I was unable to make full payments. Offered to do it over a longer period of time and they refused to negotiate. I never missed a payment, albeit it was not the full amount. And what did they do? Sued a primary care doc whose office was shut for 5 months in NYC and who volunteered at the hospital during that time. But EVERY month they got a payment. Now I have a HUGE judgement against me because of the pandemic. I am a physician who has never ever not met my responsibilities. These are bottom feeders who will do anything for money, no matter what the circumstances. STAY AWAY

My rep is completely unresponsive to multiple phone messages. No option to speak with someone else.
Horrible loan terms, and absolutely terrible customer service. Just contacting customer service for a YTD balance, and they replied with my customer ID, and closed the support ticket. What a joke. Avoid this company at all costs, they are a waste of time and money.
Looking for a loan, clear documents, and customer service. Go elsewhere. You're not going to find customer service here. Just a company that is all about making money. I have been waiting 4 weeks for a response with weekly reminders and nothing.
Balboa Capital is very easy to work with. They make your equipment purchases smooth and streamlined.

Please do your self a favor and stay away from this place all together. Their customer service is a joke. I been waiting for Francisco to call me back. It has been two weeks. I’m assuming that he is still in a meeting. I will also file a claim with the BBB.
In this world of uncertainty it is hard to decide on a financial partner. After long consideration, research and a lot of grilling this team, I took the plug. We are a small business based in Virginia. At this time we extremely happy. It did help the Forbes Rated them number one. Cheers
Balboa Capital has been the worst financing partner I have worked with in my 20+ years of equipment financing. My account manager, Stephen Tangy paid me $20 for my original 5 star review.
Worst company to deal with. Totally a bad experience. Terrible customer service whenever you finally can get someone on the phone.please look for other lending options
If I could rate with negative stars, I would. The salesperson pushed through the contract and I did not take the time to read the contract in detail to discover that not all payments will be applied to the lease schedule. They charge "rent" for the deposit that does not apply, in addition to the fact that they delay the start of the lease for 3 months to get an extra "prefund" payment. You are not allowed to talk to anyone but the sales person so getting any explanation is impossible.
Run! I would use a loan shark- they are upfront about screwing you.
We have used Balboa Capital for years now. Always made our payments. We are a new car dealership. They snuck in "No insurance fee" which was an exurbanite amount. When we contacted them-they said no problem-send over the proof of insurance. We obviously we did. But they are still charging us and won't waive the fee.
I expressed my issue with Balboa Capital and with the correct information reversed the insurance charge. I appreciate there honesty resolving the issue. Thank you
Our small construction company has used Balboa to finance a few pieces of heavy equipment. We will no longer be using them for future equipment purchases, they tack on fees that are hidden in their contracts with deceptive verbiage and which are excessive. I find it hard to believe that the excessive interest rate percentage that they apply to each loan is not enough.
Their customer service is slow or simply does not respond to questions or concerns after the purchase unless you take the time to call over and over.
